The bet was actually for $5 and I didn't have quite enough so the guy that won asked if I had anything I could let him have and I gave him the album. If I knew then what they would sell for on Ebay I wouldn't have done it but I was a dumb kid back then and Ebay didn't exist so it's my loss but I've made up for it more times than I can remember so it's all good.

I got the second record in my K-TEL "The hot ones" collection today!! (A collection of 70s hits)

Months ago I found the first one (No jacket) but the 2nd one was cracked!! (So I only got the first record)

Today I found the whole jacket! (With both records in it) I only got the jacket and 2nd record though as I already have the first!

I was worried when I saw that they both had a # on them (56) as K-TEL started doing this after they came back from bankrupty in the late 80s and MOST OF THIER RECORDS WITH A # ON THEM SOUND LIKE CRAP! (Low audio, not much bass, etc)

However this K-TEL record HAD THE SAME DESIGN IN THE MIDDLE OF THE RECORD as the one I have so i was hopefull this was an EARLIER RELEASE they just added "56" to...... (The newer re-issues have a different design)

I brought it home and listenend to it,ITS GEORGEOUS SOUNDING on some songs but crappy on others!! (If i can find the original ill be getting it)

I dunno exactly what happend to K-TEL but its quite sad....... (When they came back from bankrupty the quality of thier records went TO CRAP!!)

Now in 1985 was Country music STILL COUNTRY MUSIC?? (Ya know it changed to that Rock stuff)

It was still country, it changed to this crap they try to pass off as country today when clear channel took over and basically gave a cease and desist order to their stations to stop playing traditional artists such as Conway Twitty, Merle Haggard, George Jones, Willie Nelson, etc... All the new singers at that time were being heavily promoted and the legends were being fazed-out. Willie found a way around that at various times by having duets with Lee Ann Womack, Toby Keith and others.

Has USB and audio jack connectors on back
Records to PC, CD or cassette
Weighs less than 3 pounds
Built-in speakers
Audacity software included

Plays 33 and 45 RPM

Only thing I don't like is that appears to work only thru the USB connection so you can't take it from room-to-room unless it will work with a wall adapter that has a USB plug There's nothing in the manual about it so I need to contact the Co. and find out.

@ Salvation army alot of tapes came in today and I got 3!

1) Madonna - No name on it (Must be her first album)
2) In Excess - Kick
3) The Best of Kansas

I was quite sad to read in the details of this tape this about the first and last songs (THIER BEST OF ALL OF THEM)

"Remixed for this album using the dbx digital audio processor"

Both of those songs SOUNDED LIKE CRAP compared to the rest of the cassette!! (Carry on Wayward son and The Wall)

I was PISSED that they would COMPROMISE THIER MUSIC like that!!

I recorded BLANKNESS over both songs.... (Now there is a gap @ the start of side 1 and @ the end of side 2) -- TWO BEAUTIFUL SONGS RUINED BY THAT TRASH!!

If I can find both songs seperate,I will record them back onto the tape.. I dont wanna hear those songs compromised like that!! -- IDIOTS..

Is this the release you are referring to?

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-Rare-Oversized-box-Pink-Floyd-the-wall-vhs-MGM-UA-Home-Video-1982-Color-/220913756075?pt=VHS&hash=item336f7c67ab

It says "Digitally Duplicated" on the spine, as well as "Hi-Fi" (Is "Hi-Fi" the same as digital?)

Ya I couldnt believe I found it!!!

When I first saw this months ago it was the newer one I didnt want.... Then the other day I found this one..... ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

I didnt realise that album was based on a war! (Maybe I should have but I didnt)

I heard a few songs that are not on the double record on it!!

I recently heard the kids who sang in ANOTHER BRICK IN THE WALL wanted to be paid and until I got this,I DIDNT UNDERSTAND WHY!! (I thought they were just in a song,I DIDNT KNOW THEY WERE IN THAT VIDEO AS WELL!!)

Very good indeed!

One music film I have been trying to find in its original mono form is The Beatles' A Hard Day's Night. I heard claims that on VERY EARLY VHS releases from MPI, the original mono soundtrack, as heard in 1964, was used. But later ones replaced the audio with a stereo soundtrack.

I got 3 records today!

1) Kansas - Point of Know Return (1977) -- Doesnt sound too good. On the album it says "This album was aphex processed" -- I looked up "Aphex processing" and discovered what it is.... DOESNT MAKE IT SOUND BETTER IN MY OPINION!! (The cassette I have "The best of Kansas" sounds better!!)

I probably wont keep it...... (Its sad, people do stupid things to try and make stuff SOUND BETTER but in reality it makes it worse!!)

I hope they didnt mess up thier 1975 album like this (The one with "CARRY ON WAYWARD SON") Im still trying to find this one!!

2) Heart - Bebe Le Strange (1980)

3) Paul Simons Greatest Hits

I also got a 45!

Steely Dan - Only a fool/Reeling in the years (I have this song on my STEELY DAN 'GREATEST HITS' collection (2 record set))

Wow,thats good Zoneboy, made ya some $$$!! (Did you like the songs on that 45?)

It's not bad, it's a soul/funk song. I bought it because it was one I'd never heard before and the Linco label was one I'm also unfamiliar so it was worth gambling a quarter. What I didn't notice until later was that Linco was based in Greensboro, NC which isn't far from where I'm from.

24 Beatles iphone 4 cases from Tuesday Morning. Original retail was $30.00 each, TM marked them down to $12.99 then offered them for 60% off that or $7.80 each. I had seen the box on the shelf for at least 4 months and nobody was buying any. I went back yesterday and the box was gone so I thought they must've marked them down further and sold them since it had been a few weeks when I was last there but I was told they had been moved to another area of the store and the Mgr asked me how many I was interested in and I said the entire box but they were still the same price ($7.80 each) She said, let me see what I can do and told me if I take all I could have them for .49 cents each. I said DEAL! I got 2 of The Beatles, 3 Sgt Pepper, 6 Abbey Road, 6 Let it Be, and 7 Beatles' faces.

I THINK ITS SAFE TO SAY RECKLESS IS HIS BEST ALBUM -- OH MY.......... And the last song was a surprise as it WASNT LISTED ON THE TAPE BOX AS ONE OF THE SONGS ON THE COLLECTION! ("One night love affair" -- (Played during the ending credits) OH MY....this song is in the movie 'REAL GENIUS' (1985) also and it sounds JUST AS GOOD!!! -- I am so glad this tape WAS NOT DIGITALLY COMPROMISED!!!!!!! (I had THE DOORS 'LIVE IN EUROPE' (1968) on VHS also the other day and it sounded like crap..... At the end of the tape I discovered why "Sound Mix: Digital enterprises" (Or something "Digital") I got rid of it!!

WOODSTOCK 69! -- 2 tapes

I was happy I found this... I had found one last month and I just sat on ceremony and one day it was gone.... Then I starting trying to find other copies and all I could find were DIGITALLY PROCESSED copies .. I finally found another earlier release of this that IS NOT DIGITALLY PROCESSED and I wasnt gonna let it go again!!!!

The original 1987 release of this IS NOT DIGITALLY PROCESSED while the newer 1992 release is :(

Woodstock 1994 IS DIGITALLY MASTERED on its offical tape and Woodstock 99 was digitally recorded ...... Woodstock 69 is the only one out there (1987 release) that hasnt been digitally affected and WITH THAT BEING THE BEST ONE OF THEM ALL,its quite awesome!!!

I wanna hear the music IN ANALOG!!!!!! (I dont want it to sound compromised because the tape was digitally altered)

Woodstock 69 IS INSANELY GOOD!!!!!!!! (The vid and audio were excellent :))

I asked if any had been sold and they said no so I asked if they would take one price for all and was told $12.99 and into my car they went. Mostly stuff like Frank Sinatra, Duke Ellington, Tommy & Jimmy Dorsey, Glenn Miller, Etc..... I rarely ever buy 78's because when you see them at thrift stores, flea markets, or yard sales they're usually piled into a box with no jackets and will scratch and/or break if stacked on top of each other. Almost all were in their original jackets and some of those can bring good money because they're scarce.

Hi all I'm a new member here and this is my first post!

Just last week I bought ABBA's More ABBA Gold and country singer Teea Goan's The Way I Remember It. Teea is a traditional (that is "real") country music singer and she has a beautiful voice. I just discovered her a couple months ago and she's only released 2 cds so she's fairly new. It's a shame they won't play her stuff on the radio.

I found another copy of BEST OF BEE GEES (1969) today @ my friends and I got it because the one I have has 1 or 2 skips @ the end of MASSACHUSETS on side 2.... It sucks.... There was a skip @ the beggining of WORDS also (side 1) but I got that out....... I cant get the ones in massachusets out.... (Well I havent been able to yet anyway)

The 1 I found today is a first pressing but it sounds like crap.. The first songs audio is horrible (Like listening to an AM station off frequency (In some spots (Like it was TOO LOUD))) and the song WORDS the music is quite low..... The re-issue I have is much better except for the skipping In massachusets.. Ah well, its an excellent set of music!! -- The 60s was quite a decade!!!!!!

I also got a greatest hits collection (2 record set) from Gordon Lightfoot (1975 release (Gords Gold)) -- Also A good singer!!!!!!!!
