View Full Version : Dennis from Dennis The Menace 1950's VS Bobby from 1970's The Brady Bunch
Neutronman67 11-04-2013, 07:31 PM Bobby from the Brady Bunch is much more of a bad kid then Dinnis who does dangerous things by accident but still is considered a menace by society, which kid would you say is more of a trouble maker Bobby or Dinnis ???
McGillicuddy 11-09-2013, 11:53 AM Dinnis?
Neutronman67 11-11-2013, 10:03 AM Bobby seemed like a big jerk to me him and his brother peter left the frogs in the car and messed up their brother Gregs date with a hot girl at the movies, nobody ill ever want to eat pizza again after watching the episode lol.
MacLeaper 11-11-2013, 01:39 PM I would say Dennis the Menace was a much bigger troublemaker than Bobby Brady ever was. But then, I've never considered Bobby Brady to be all that big of a troublemaker to begin with, so I wouldn't really be comparing the two at all.
Neutronman67 11-13-2013, 08:37 AM Yeah but its easy two compare two clumsy people like Dinnis and Steve Urkel, but steve in my theory was a far much worse kid then Dinnis he destroyed everything at sight and never got into trouble lol.

It's "Dennis," not "Dinnis."

We knew what he meant and correcting another member's grammar is not allowed.

I never thought that any of the Brady kids were jerks. Peter and Bobby did not leave the frogs in the car on purpose. They realized their mistake seconds after Greg started backing out of the driveway, leaving for his date.

Don't worry about it. Consider the source...

Perhaps. But I'm pretty sure both Dennis and Steve faced repercussions for their actions. However, the topic was to compare Dennis the Menace and Bobby Brady and as I said before, I really don't see much of a comparison between the two characters.

Which source are you considering, the critic or the guy who can't spell or put a sentence together?

JudgeGarth wasn't correcting Neutronman's grammar. Dennis is a name, not a word. The boy spells his name DENNIS, not Dinnis, and the show is called DENNIS The Menace, not Dinnis The Menace.

Good catch but the fact remains that he corrected his spelling which isn't allowed and using all caps with Dennis was unnecessary as I'm perfectly capable of understanding you without the added help. I should've said spelling but everyone knew what Neutronman meant. I also suggest that you, JudgeGarth and Mr. Casey familiarize yourselves with the board rules particularly #3. which states:
Please do not correct other users spelling, punctuation, and/or grammar. This isn't English class - as long as the message is coherent enough to make it's point, that's all we ask.
JudgeGarth knew exactly what he meant and therefore had no business correcting his spelling.

Just curious, but why not? No, its not English class but its also annoying trying to read run on sentences with no punctuation. Really, how hard is it to use spell check before posting something? What does it take, all of five seconds? And, no, some of the things I read are not coherent.
Janice 11-20-2013, 03:46 AM These are TJ's rules, so anyone who has a problem with it can take it to him. Only a bully rags on someone for spelling, grammar or typos.
Back on topic. It ends here.

I don't either. What I think would be a fairer comparison would be between Dennis and the Beaver. Both were around the same age and their shows were on in the same era so both would have represented typical kids from that time. I would classify both as well-meaning, good-hearted, clever and mischievous rather than real troublemakers like Eddie Haskell or "dumb old Margaret". The difference that I see between them is that many of Dennis' troubles were caused by himself while the Beaver would often be goaded into trouble by either one of his friends or Eddie or sometimes even Wally. Otherwise, they were great kids and fun to watch and I would watch their shows again anytime.
