Every show needs a lead, whether they be a man or a woman. They don’t have to be likable, but they do have to make an impression on us that keeps the show grounded and flowing smoothly.
Unfortunately, plenty of shows have suffered from having leading men who bring almost nothing to the table. In some cases, it’s not entirely their fault and may just be the result of bad writing and/or stellar secondary characters.
Still, many shows on this list managed to maintain great ratings and storytelling, despite their lack of compelling, leading men.
