Mr. Feeny is one of those TV characters that could have fell through the cracks but the wonderful William Daniels brought him to life with such humor and compassion. Truly one of the greatest TV characters of all-time.

I agree with Mr. Daniels that one of the reasons I liked Mr. Feeny was because of how competent he was. It's so rare in sitcoms, especially nowadays, to have a teacher that is not a buffoon.

It also helped that he really brought the character to life, too. I couldn't picture anyone else in the role.
