Who the Hell wears a turtleneck dress with long sleeves to prom? :lol: I guess she needed the sleeves to hide her arms, but a turtleneck?! I've never seen that before.

I did not see anything wrong with the dress for prom, I thought the dress was cute...especially for it to be back in the 70's and it was in Chicago where it is cold alot of times.

I've just never seen a dress like that for prom. Thelma's dress is more like it. I thought Diana looked way too covered up.

I think they took a bus, but that does seem unrealistic. I can't imagine JJ having enough money for two bus fares, a hotel room, and food. :lol:

On top of all that, I wonder how JJ was able to afford a ticket back home?

Yes, I'm just a basic guy with very little taste or knowledge about women's fashions. But I liked Debbie Allen's dress. As a kid, I probably liked hers more than Thelma's. As I got older, reached adolescence, and watched Thelma do a full turn around in her dress, I realized that hands down, Thelma's dress, and Thelma, in every way, was better :-)

Dianas dress looked like a 70s bridesmaid or like one poster said on youtube like a nightgown u would wear in Alaska or Siberia.. but she was planning to elope not dance...

I'm not a fashionita from the 70s, but I actually really liked Diana's dress. In my 5 year old mind at least. Now 30 years later, Thelma's dress is hands down better, and stood the test of time too. I could see a high schooler today wearing Thelma's dress to the prom.

Episode always bugged me because her name was Diana, but JJ kept calling her Diane. He was her boyfriend - he should be getting her name right!
