I have seen both episodes of The Big Bang Theory and episodes of the 1970's Happy Days and i do see the similarities between two shows even if both sitcoms are decades apart, The Big Bang Theory is mostly about a group of guys having conversation and Happy Days is mostly about a group of guys having conversation, does anyone else see how both sitcoms are similar ???

you could apply that constraint to almost any show about anything - even Supernatural, My Little Pony, the 6:00 News, or Mythbusters, for example.

What? I'm sorry, but I don't see much comparison between "The Big Bang Theory" and "Happy Days". Both shows are about a lot more than just guys sitting around and having a conversation.
I would daresay every television show in history has characters sitting around and having conversations at some point. One of the big differences between these two shows is the relationships between the characters. The way Sheldon relates with Leonard, Raj, Howard, Penny, Bernadette and Amy- and the way everyone else relates with him and with all the other characters. Those relationships are on different levels from the relationship Fonzie has with Richie, Ralph, Potsie, Chachi and Joanie and Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham, etc.
Both shows are also set in very different time periods and have different styles of humor, though I will say both have some humor based on the personality of the characters and their relationships with others- but that's true of most every sitcom.

Both shows feature a group of Nerds with one non-nerd friend! (Fonzie on HD and Penny on BBT)

lol- well, there you go. I guess there's at least one similarity. (Though I think Bernadette on "The Big Bang Theory" is kind of in-between Amy and Penny on the nerdiness side.)

Some of you guys might not agree with me but The guys from Happy Days and The guys from The Big Bang Theory dont have much luck when it comes to women they are in the same boat, Fonzy character was kinda a pervert then a nerd he was in his 20's still messing around with teenage girls in High School lol

Richie had plenty of luck with women- he married Lori Beth. ]
Both Ralph and Potsie had dates with a number of women too.
I wouldn't call Fonzie a pervert though- I don't know that he was ever shown having sex outside of marriage or any such thing. And a few years age difference between him and some of the girls he went out with is not a huge deal.
For that matter, Howard married Bernadette on "The Big Bang Theory", so he's certainly had luck with women. Leonard and Sheldon both have (or at least have had) regular girlfriends and Raj has dated some women too- so they've all had some success with women and dating.

Why would you even put these 2 shows in the same sentence? They're not even close to being similar? That's like saying Laverne and Shirley and 2 Broke Girls are similar cause 2 ladies are the lead characters

that might not be the best example Jack - both those shows DO have 2 girls in them.

also - I dreamed that i drink your shampoo last night Jack, tyhen you got all mad at me and gave me the silent treatment.

Or like saying "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." and Groucho Marx's "You Bet Your Life" are similar because both have human beings in them.
Sorry- I don't mean to come off sounding mean, but I have to agree that I find the comparison a bit out there.

Because TBBT has an ensemble of characters, like HD did? A cool one, etc?
