It's Official: Fox's Dads Gets Full-Season Order
Get More: Full-Season Pick-Ups
Michael Ausiello

Fox has officially picked up its much-maligned rookie comedy Dads for a full season.

On Friday, the network ordered nine additional episodes of the sitcom, bringing its first season tally to 22.

The Seth MacFarlane-produced series premiered to 5.6 million total viewers and a decent-enough 2.1 rating last month, but has shed roughly 40 percent of its audience since then (this week it notched 3.6 mil/1.4).

The news follow’s last week’s full-season pickup up Fox’s other freshman sitcom, Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

Great, this is just an example of terrible doing well on FOX...

The show seems to be doing well. I read that overall ratings were 14 Million viewers.

Dads is the only really funny new comedy on this year. I sampled the pilot fully expecting to turn it off after five minutes and I really laughed out loud. I think it is hilarious. It is also good to see Martin Mull in another show. Th other actor who plays the father is good, the sons are good, they are all good.

The show is not PC. This is why it is FUNNY.

Dads rock.

I don't mind politically incorrect humor as long as it's funny. This one isn't.

i think the show has a few funny moments, but mostly unlikable characters.

-with the exception of Brenda Song and Martin Mull of course - they're great.

I hope the 22nd episode gets aired around April 2014, IMO!

Seth does that with all his shows. Creating unlikable characters. The only one I find likable is Meg.

This show has the worst unlike able characters in it and I still think this show will have its season finale aired around April 2014, no offense.

No offense. I hope it'll be gone in April too.
