Did Katharine McPhee have an affair with her "Smash" director Michael Morris? New photos indicate that the pair's relationship may have been less than professional.

The pictures, which TMZ published Tuesday, show McPhee and Morris locking lips after an alleged lunch date in Hollywood. Morris' wife, actress Mary McCormack, kicked the director out of their home after he told her Sunday night that the photos were going to be published, a source tells the New York Post.

Morris reportedly attempted to buy the photos before they were posted online.





After "Smash" was canceled by NBC, McPhee and Morris reunited in Los Angeles, where the "American Idol" alum was recording her new album, according to the Post.

McPhee has been married to Nick Cokas since 2008 but the couple has been separated for months, the Post reports. Morris and McCormack have been married for 10 years and have three children, all under the age of 10.

Ironically, Morris' most recent directing gig was for an episode of the new ABC drama "Betrayal".

Katharine McPhee has filed for divorce from her husband Nick Cokas,People reports.

"After six years of marriage, and having been separated for the past year, Katharine McPhee has filed for a dissolution of marriage from Nick Cokas," a rep for the actress said. "The two have an amicable relationship and will remain friends. They ask that people respect their privacy during this time."



Last year, after becoming estranged from Cokas, McPhee, who stars on CBS' upcoming drama "Scorpion", was photographed kissing her "Smash" director Michael Morris, who's married to actress Mary McCormack.

McPhee, 30, and Cokas, 49, reconciled and were reportedly working on their marriage as recently as March. They have no children together.
