Rider Strong Is Getting Married on Sunday

He may have played the best friend on "Boy Meets World", but Rider Strong is taking center stage this weekend – as a groom!

"I'm incredibly lucky to be getting married to my best friend and partner-in-crime," Strong, 33, says in a statement to PEOPLE of his upcoming wedding to Alexandra Barreto in Oregon on Sunday.





Strong – who played bad boy Shawn Hunter on the ABC sitcom – and Barreto met as costars on the short-lived WB series "Pepper Dennis" in 2006 and continued working together on the horror film Tooth and Nail later that year.

Strong proposed to Barreto just before Christmas last year, in the pouring rain beneath the redwood trees of his childhood home in Northern California, with a ring he made himself.

"I spent weeks making the ring in secret," says Strong. "I carved the ring out of wax, cast it in white gold and had my dad make a wooden ring box for me. My dad made my mom's ring, so I was following in his footsteps."

"Boy Meets World" star Danielle Fishel has gotten married, People reports.

Fishel, 32, wed boyfriend Tim Belusko, 25, in a short ceremony in downtown Los Angeles. The actress wore a strapless lace Enzoani gown and walked down the aisle to the song 'Forever' by Brian Culbertson. The affair had more than 200 guests including costar Ben Savage.



The couple met in school where Fishel was returning at the age of 27 to get her college degree. She graduated in December 2012.

"I persevered and sometimes I wasn't the oldest person in class, some of the whisperers became good friends, and I did so well in math, I even became a tutor. And that is how I met my fiancé." she wrote on her Tumblr when she graduated.



Fishel, who grew up on television playing Topanga Lawrence on the ABC sitcom, is reprising her role on the upcoming Disney spin-off "Girl Meets World".

Fellow "Boy Meets World" alum Rider Strong also reportedly got married this weekend.

"Boy Meets World" star Danielle Fishel married her longtime boyfriend, Tim Belusko, last weekend, but their honeymoon period was apparently short-lived.

Fishel took to Twitter to slam critics who had made comments about the age gap between her and Belusko (she's 32, he's 25).

"People are giving me s--- for marrying someone younger than I am," Fishel wrote on Sunday. "Tim is mature, responsible, loving, & kind. Way to judge people, Internet."





Then on Tuesday, Fishel again fired back at commenters who were making remarks about her weight.

"Ppl saying I was FAT @ my wedding: u r the worst kind of ppl on the PLANET. I weigh 107 pounds & am 5'1". YOU are the reason anorexia exists," she wrote.

She later added: "I hope you'll look at your own miserable lives and learn to stop judging others on their weight and looks. Love and happiness wins again."





Fishel has previously discussed having an eating disorder when she was a teenager starring on "Boy Meets World". But it seems as though the actress is trying to let the criticisms go in one ear and out the other.

"You know what makes dealing with rude comments easy? Love & happiness," she wrote. "I'll just keep being the happiest me & you keep being the rudest you."

Way to go, Danielle!!! That is a seven year difference. It's not that bad, for heaven's sake! I hope that they are happy. Had the man been the older one, then would the haters being hating? Who cares? Congrats to her and congrats to Rider Strong as well. Kudos to my 90's peeps. ;)
