I've seen several posts mentioning they were puzzled as to why Luger was fond of call Dietrich DD. I thought it was obvious-it stands for "Detective Dietrich" :)

I've seen several posts mentioning they were puzzled as to why Luger was fond of call Dietrich DD. I thought it was obvious-it stands for "Detective Dietrich" :)
I always assumed it stood for "Detective Dietrich" too!

For a couple of years, I was also curious as to why Luger called Dietrich "D.D." Then it hit me--"D.D." stood for "Detective Dietrich."
