I mean, they are both essentially about a normal guy, a teacher (science or literature), who suddenly gets involved in crime for the good at first (getting money for his family or raising money for failing college) and along the way they run into a crime boss with twin like looking henchmen (every time I see what is called the Yul Brynner look alikes, I think of the brothers The Cousins from BB). There is no Mom in Breaking Bad (but there should be in the last season!) and no fencing scenes (but there should be!).

Oh, and then both Walter White and Cliff develop "personas" linked to crime, Dr. Detroit and Heisenberg.

I guess this would make Diavolo Washington the Jesse Pinkman character. I kept thinking his name was Diablo throughout the movie until the end, which reminded me also of the Diablo Twins.

Cliff keeping his identity secret from his family also reminds me of BB.

There was a mention of Doctor Detroit owning "Chicken Chains" and that reminded me of Los Pollos Hermanos and I started laughing. They both have interesting bulldozer scenes.

They both play out like dark comedies, did everyone in the 80s think prostitution was a happy-go-lucky thing via movies like this and Risky Business/Trading Places.
