Of course its been no secret that Louise wanted nothing to do with Gilligan after it left its original run on CBS, but I'm curious- do she still have ill feelings towards that show today nearly 35 years later?

One of the Gilligan books I have ( published in 1992 ) says that Louise was in the process to have a change a heart in reguards to Gilligan but that was 10 years ago.

Also what exactly has she done lately? I remember she did a short lived soap called The Rituals back in 1985 and she appeared with the cast of Gilligan on the long defunct Late Show on Fox in 1988 ( one of the last times Backus appeared on tv- looked very ill ) but what has she done since?

Tina Louise has always flip-flopped when it comes to Gilligan's island.
Sometimes, she loves the show and talks highly of the cast.
Other times, particularly last year when either E! or FOX did a behind the scenes expose, she hates everything to do with the show.
For a long time she refused to even talk about the subject (particularly in the late 70's when she refused to take part in the reunion TV movies).

The past few years however, she has at least discussed the series (either she loved it or hated it); I guess she's finally accepted the fact that she will forever be known as Ginger.

in December her Indie film "Growing Down In Brooklyn" aired on a local NY station, METRO. she is also a lifetime member of the actors studio and does work there. she's also a volunteer reading teacher since 95.

If I'm not mistaken, she also appeared in some of the early episodes of "Dallas". I think she played the part of J.R.'s secretary.

hmmm I don't know her middle name, but her birth name is Tina Blacker. Then when her mother re-married it was Tina Louise Meyers, and THEN I guess she just thought Tina Louise was best! she said that since debutants were suppose to have long long names she added Louise.

I don't know why Tina isn't "PROUD" of being on GI it was sooo hilarious and definatley a hit, I think she needs to show more pride towards the show IMO.
