This past Friday, at their Facebook page, a longtime TVShowsOnDVD reader named E.G. Gammon asked StarVista/Time-Life about Mama's Family - The Complete 3rd Season, writing for confirmation of a February 24th street date mentioned at one national retailer chain's site. The studio confirmed it for E.G., but we checked in with them directly to verify. You see, the 24th of that month is a Monday, and in-store release dates are always on Tuesdays. We can see where this particular studio might make that error, though, since their online studio-store releases are often on Mondays! So it's quite understandable for their Facebook person to say what they did.

However, StarVista/Time-Life does tell us that the actual in-store date for Mama's Family - The Complete 3rd Season will be Tuesday, February 25, 2014. Priced at $29.98 SRP, the studio tells us it will contain these features:
Family History: A Classic "Family" sketch from The Carol Burnett Show, featuring Maggie Smith.
Featurette - Mama's Family Tree: The Sprouts
Mama Knows Best: A Mama's Family Cast Reunion featuring Beverly Archer, Ken Berry, Allan Kayser, Vicki Lawrence and Dorothy LymanIt's not up for pre-order at Amazon yet, but stay tuned! He sent me a message, thanking me for emailing him about it and I sent him a reply, mentioning the Allan Kayser interview that's also part of the set's special features (which oddly isn't mentioned in the specs provided by Time Life/Starvista) and the music replacement in "Grandma USA." I don't know if he'll update the news item, though, since those aren't "official" statements from the studio (even though they should be).

I'm glad Star Vista / Time-Life is releasing the seasons separately! I hope it continues. The complete series is pretty pricey at the moment so owning the individual seasons is right up my ally.

im watching my copy now love it on my 4th episode intro theme sounds bit different and it don't end with mama walking to sidewalk getting the paper what does everyone else think
