I know Ted Danson learned tap dancing early on, and I remember he danced a little in the movie, Body Heat. He walks lightly and graceful like a dancer.
I don't recall if he ever danced on Cheers--anyone know?

yeah i remember him dancing atleast 2 or 3 times on cheers somewhere, once he was showing off abit with carla and thats when they entered the boston boppers contest and showed off with carla when they were dancing, and i would have to say that man is VERY VERY VERY good at dancing,he is a very sophistacted and graceful man i agree and i remember there was another time with diane in the very last scene of her final episode, that was,so i think there were other times as well but i forget where,he might have danced a bit in the rebbeca episodes as well, but it is kind of hard for me to say, well i wish he would have danced some more it would have been really really worth seeing, well i hope this helps abit, sorry i couldn,t give you more information, lol

Thanks sammyandiane. I do recall the boppers contest now. It would have been nice to see Sam dance more. Usually, if an actor possesses a talent, they use it. John Travolta usually dances in most of his movies.

I firmly believe if an actor possesses the ability to sing or dance and its an acquired skill, they should be able to showcase it in all their work! I love that they let Kelsey and Bebe sing, but I wish they had Bebe dance! Although, I can't really picture Lilith dancing. It would have been fun, though, to put her in that light. Perhaps she always had dreamed of being on the stage, but was always told she had to "make something of herself" and that it was no kind of life for a woman of her intelligence (sounds like something Betty would have drilled into her mind!). Maybe that was what drove her to becoming so cynical, cold, and serious. Resentment towards her mother and the career she never obtained all building up and eating away inside her!
Anyhoo... LOL... I would have loved to see her dance on Cheers, beggars can't be choosers! At least she got to sing every now and then! :happyface

yeah,i absoulutlly agree with ya there,i think if they have something cool like dancing or singing or something like that they should persure it to the fullest extant and try to use it when ever they can or are able to,remember the old days when the actors sang and danced and acted at the same time or atleast 2 out of the three even though i am not a very big musical fan it is really nice to see multa talented people such as judy garland, olivia newton john, gene kelly, tara lapinski, somewhere mention ealier someone else mentioned john travolta a great one, tony danza sometimes is seen boxing in some of his shows like taxi and whos the boss and he was a real life boxer as well and john candy and barbra stristand ect showcase all there great talents and i should be able to think of more, but i can,t off hand, but so many great examples,i miss the old days,do really really really miss those days when they could showcase there talents, doesn,t seem to happen to much anymore?i wish they would come back to that, they should show it off,but i do agree, thanks lol
