The Wonder Years. I used to like Step By Step, but now it's one of those shows I sometimes feel embarrassed to say I watched, probably because the theme song is so grating on the ears!

Step By Step. I haven't watched it in forever and it seems like TWY was on the Hub far too long. I watched like 5 rotations of it.

Next sitcom I think they should add is Perfect Strangers. With the Miller-Boyett and Miller-Milkis-Boyett ones they always seem to get good ratings. So, why not.

This is why it's easy for me to say I prefer Step by Step on The HUB right now. The Wonder Years had a good run on the channel. I haven't watched Step by Step on a regular basis since 2005.

How long did TWC air on Hub?

3 years Thomas. It was one of the original sitcoms that was airing when The Hub started in October 2010.

It's virtually a toss up for me; I'd want BOTH - like each very much. But if I were forced to pick I'd take Step By Step by a hair - like 50.001 to 49.999

I assume he meant "Laverne & Shirley"- and I definitely disagree. I LOVE that show! (Don't worry, I LOVE "Happy Days" too- and "Mork & Mindy" for that matter and all the related series.) So I'm glad to see these shows on The Hub when they do air.

Oh yes---Laverne & Shirley is one of the greatest sitcoms ever created! I'm glad it's still airing in this day and age.

Both shows are great, family-oriented shows. It is a shame they don't make them that way anymore.

The Wonder Years. I used to like Step By Step, but now it's one of those shows I sometimes feel embarrassed to say I watched, probably because the theme song is so grating on the ears!

I agree the theme song to Step by Step sucks you can hear multiple people singing at the same time which gives me head ache, Full House theme song also sucks its kinda corny i use to like the song when i was a kid but i cant stand it now as an adult, Family Matters theme song is getting on my nerves at the moment i must of heard the song millions of times over the years i always skip the music and watch the show lol.

That's fine if people don't like them, but I have to say- I LOVE the theme songs to "Step By Step", "Family Matters" and especially "Full House"- (and the shows themselves too of course.)- I have heard the songs a number of times and love them every time. That's the mark of a good theme song- one that one can love listening to and singing along with no matter how many times one's heard it- I never get tired of them.:)

They only have many singers in the first two seasons. Originally Jesse Frederick and Theresa James were joined by kids singing the chorus. I think Jesse represented Frank, Teresa represented Carol, and the kids represented the kids (obviously). But they gave up on that and in season three only Jesse and Teresa are heard singing.

I think the Hub should air two great classic shows thats where to find on TV heck you cant even find episodes to watch on YouTube and thats where i go most of my free time, Webster and A Diff'rent World should be on that channel hopefully in the near future they will own the rights to both family sitcoms.

Step by Step is apparently doing well on The Hub, so it's staying put. I'm glad, since the show wasn't nearly as popular as Full House and Family Matters in synidcation. It's great seeing other shows from that era getting attention in this day and age.

Step by Step is not even close to be as popular as Full House and Family Matters i am not even sure that Step by Step was popular sitcom when they were still airing new episodes back in the mid 90's, but i do think if Step by Step is doing good in the ratings the Hub company might consider to add Full House and Family Matters and maybe Mork and Mindy to their line up next year if lucky.

Yes Step by Step is still popular. It lasted alot longer than Family Matters did on abc family. And Step by Step was pretty popular in it's initial run. Here's a comparison of ratings Sbs and Fm had in their same years:

Family Matters:
Season 3 1991-1992 #27
Season 4 1992-1993 #30
Season 5 1993-1994 #30
Season 6 1994-1995 #34
Season 7 1995-1996 #42
Season 8 1996-1997 #50
Season 9 1997-1998 #99

Step By Step:
Season 1 1991-1992 #36
Season 2 1992-1993 #35
Season 3 1993-1994 #34
Season 4 1994-1995 #39
Season 5 1995-1996 #54
Season 6 1997 #61
Season 7 1997-1998 #102

There's only a difference of 3-11 between them. Also Mork & Mindy is already on the hub.

ABC Family are cowards i had no idea they edited majority of the show Family Matters i just bought season 2 uncut and surprised at how much footage of the show i never got to see on ABC Family UPN and Nick@Nite, for example we never got to see every scene with steve being drunk as a skunk from season 2 where he does that urkel dance with a bunch of kids at maxine's birthday party.

Every network edits older TV shows. Shows used to be 23-25 minutes long, but are now required to be under 22 minutes to fit in more ads. Abc family atleast tried to show different scenes that were normally edited in syndication and cut other scenes instead. They were the only network to show the full opening theme. They also showed the n word on Lauras locker, even though every other network cuts it before she closed it. Step by Step on the Hub is the exception as it appears unedited. I guess it being a premium channel allows them to choose how many ads to show, even though other shows on the hub seem to be edited.

A little offtopic, but does anyone know if the "ALF" episodes on The Hub are unedited?
