That's My Mama is an American television sitcom that was originally broadcast on the ABC network from September 1974 until December 1975. There are 39 episodes of this series. Set in a middle-class African American neighborhood in Washington, D.C., the program revolved around the character Clifton Curtis (played by Clifton Davis), a man in his mid-20s who worked as a barber at Oscar's Barber Shop, the family barber shop he had inherited from his late father. While Clifton enjoyed being a bachelor, his opinionated mother "Mama" Curtis, played by Theresa Merritt, wanted him to settle down and find a nice wife. Additional characters - both Curtis's friends and other members of his family - came and went over the course of a typical day at Oscar's Barber Shop.

They were being too nice, That's My Mama boned the fish during it's second season definitely. Tracy replaced, Wildcat and Josh dropped, Earl works in the barbershop, and last but not least Leonard becomes a more prominent character:(!

The only thing watchable on this show was......."Junior walking in the door saying "I got it , I got it and gosta to report it"

LOL

Bad casting, too many cast changes and no sense of direction or purpose for the show. It had some potential some of the writing. Merritt, Lange and Moody were good for the show. Clifton Davis should have been replaced with the first Leonard, Ilunga Adell. Rollo from Sanford and Son would have made a better mailman character.

Instead of a barber shop, Clifton should had a restaurant. More storyline opportunity.
