I really hope that isn't the final schedule, Benson is the show they'd take off with the 90s shows? I've really enjoyed seeing it on Sunday nights, most of the episodes have been new to me. It would be a shame if Benson didn't get to complete its cycle. And there's easily room for it, the Friday night movies are not needed, plus movies on Saturday nights, that's lazy programming.

I wonder if Mister ED and Green acres still be on THIS TV also in addition to it airing on antennaTV

I wonder if this new schedule was based at least in part on some of the results of that survey they gave last month.

For the most part I'm happy with this. At last, most of the movie slots have been replaced with series.

I'm not thrilled that Burns & Allen and Jack Benny are pushed further into the middle of the night, but I'm just glad they're still on at all. Also glad that Maude, WKRP, and The Monkees survived.

The only thing I don't like is that Benson is gone (or at least on a break). Honestly, I'd have found a place on the daily schedule for it rather than remove it. This means that now it's even more annoying that there's been no word on a Season 3 DVD set.

I don't like the schedules for either the Partridge Family or the Monkees but I have both on DVD completed so no biggie.

Not too impressed. It's nice they're no longer doing the block parties anymore, so each show gets equal amount of time, but I'm very disappointed Diff'rent Strokes has been moved to an earlier time because I don't get home until later. I wish they had kept it at the 10 PM/9 PM Central (my time) and just shown it then Monday-Thursday. I'm also disappointed Green Acres is not on at a convenient time for me. And they still have Hazel on in the morning, but can never show it during primetime which is when I could see it. I don't even know why they even got Benson in the first place because they treated it terribly. I never got a chance to watch it. It was on too late and they didn't show nearly enough with only two episodes a week and certainly didn't even make it through one run. At least they've finally changed the shows for Saturday and Sunday afternoons, but still nothing of my interest. And I don't like they have to show stupid movies on Friday night as well as Saturday. The only thing I see I would be watching this time would be Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, and Barney Miller on Sunday nights. I just hope we get a Diff'rent Strokes marathon for Thanksgiving. Once I graduate college this December, and land me a full time job, I'll be buying many more DVDs so I don't have to deal with this messed up schedule.

Why did it take so long for Antenna TV to announce their fall schedule? I would figure that at the latest it would start in early October, not on November 2. That's just poor management on someone's part. They did make some good moves in adding Bewitched, I Dream Of Jeannie, and Green Acres. Adding the former This TV sitcoms was a great touch, as was saying goodbye to The Nanny. The weaknesses as I see them: movie nights on Fridays, the weekday evening schedule, and moving the Monkees and Partridge Family to weekends only. And don't you just love the irony of having Circus Boy replace The Monkees on weekends? That's really thinking outside the box which doesn't happen nearly enough.

I'm happy about this schedule its decent feels like a TV Land / Nick @ Nite schedule kinda from late 90's - early 2000's and i think they should get rid of the Antenna TV Theater and married with children. but its not bad i like mister ed and green acres and i have this tv but its on to early its good bakc to back episodes and on mon - thur! but hopefully three's compny will return!

That pretty much sums up my feelings. I did enjoy Benson as it is not a show that is seen regularly. I wish they could have picked up One Day At A Time and Alice though. I'd love to see those again.

As for Married With Children and The Nanny, good bye and good riddance. They're too new for my tastes. I like my classic TV and don't mind a healthy dose of Black and White TV as well.

I hear you. While I don't hate the Nanny, I don't think it's all that either. I would gladly trade it off for many others.

On another note, the unofficial list looks appealing. Sure hope they do bring back Here Come The Brides. I have a good chuck of Bewitched on store-bought DVDs and all of Patty Duke.

Antenna is a fantastic station-a real Godsend.

I loved Flipper as a kid, especially since I grew up in Miami. The show was a real big deal there. Now when I watch it I'm not as enthralled. Still a nice show but Room 222, The Paper Chase and Step By Step are my special wish-list.

Yeah, I'm happy to see the schedule free from The Nanny and Married With Children. And for any MWC fans, I noticed a couple weeks ago that it was airing on (of all places) VH1 Classic, so it's still available elsewhere.

I agree that The Nanny was too recent (as was NewsRadio) and its presence had me a little worried that Antenna TV might become like Nick at Nite/TV Land and start moving more and more away from older shows. But with both of them now gone, I think we're safe. The only show as recent as those 2 that I'd like to see (that isn't running somewhere else at the moment) is Murphy Brown, esp. since expensive music rights issues seem to have killed any DVD releases past the 1st season. Other than that, I'm happy to stick with shows from the 50s thru early-80s.

Regarding One Day At A Time and Alice, I included One Day on the survey as one of the shows I'd like to see them pick up. I didn't suggest Alice because Warner Archive is still on track in putting the show out on DVD (while One Day stalled after Season 1).

As for Benson, I really hope it's just on a break, as Antenna TV sometimes takes things off for a few months and then they've popped back up again. I'm happy we made it through over half of the series on Sunday nights, but there were still a few years left to go.

I don't remember the last time "Flipper" was on any channel. It probably was on TV Land or Nick at Nite at some point in recent years, but the last time I remember watching it was the early '80's (on CBN I believe).

It aired on Nickelodeon in the early-mid 90's. That's where I first saw it as a kid along with Lassie.

Unfortunately for Benson fans this leaked schedule is correct. It gets pulled before most of the last 2 seasons get to air. It wouldn't have been so bad if they had aired the complete series then taken it off. Antenna TV added a lot of new shows but there was still space for it on the schedule, Benson should have aired on Friday nights instead of more movies. Movies are abundant on every channel, they shouldn't be airing this much on a station for classic shows.

That's a change being made by your local affiliate not MeTV most likely its due to them not being able to air the program MeTV shows at that time do to local restrictions.

The Bad: Putting the oldest sitcoms (Bachelor Father, Jack Benny, Burns and Allen) in the dead of night.
The Frustrating: Still no sign of "The Jeffersons" or "One Day at a Time". Considering how much Valerie Bertinelli stays in the public eye and the wide coverage Bonnie Franklin's death got, there's definately a hunger for the show among the public.
The Awesome: Green Acres! And not in a middle of the night slot!

Antenna TV moved Alfred Hitchcock Presents to 2AM so it would directly compete with The Alfred Hitchcock Hour on Me-TV. That will just split the audiences, it would have been better off staying at midnight.

It's a nice line up. Wish I hadn't bought the entire Patty Duke show already. Nice to see Flipper added. I have S#1 but it's spooled on both sides of the DVD, which I HATE. So I may burn it from Antenna. Sorry they didn't give Benson an entire run. Not really gonna miss The Nanny or Married With Children. Not that I hate them, but not gaga over them either. Also they seemed out of place. Bewitched is a lovely addition, but I have most of it on DVD already. Like it more than I Dream Of Jeannie, even though I like Barbara Eden very much. Delighted Here Come The Brides has returned.

All in all, a truly fantastic channel, and the changes were mostly good ones.

Yeah they finally do something right but before I get too excited I want to know what times the shows are airing on Thanksgiving eve

I wasn't thinking so much of Thanksgiving eve as I was of Thanksgiving Day. But as the poster before me said, looks like they have a great lineup for the eve. But Thanksgiving Day is 27 hours of I Dream Of Jeannie. All of this sounds great to me. I could wax poetic about Antenna; they are 99.5% of what an oldies channel should be.

My listings show 2 random episodes of The Carol Burnett Show airing on Antenna the next two weeks: this Saturday at 7:30PM replacing a Partridge Family and a week from Sunday at 11PM replacing a WKRP. The rest of the schedule remains the same. Are these listings correct? If they have acquired Carol Burnett it doesn't seem like Antenna to air it randomly.

Because

1. It has not changed much in 2 years

2. Don't air sitcoms on saturdays

3. Air new shows at bad times which prevents the show from gaining a new fan base

4. Won't remove any of the overplayed norman lear sitcoms...good times, sanford and son, and All in the Family so they can add other sitcoms from the 70's

Sol, re point #1, they have made quite a few changes. Removing Leave It To Beaver, Too Close For Comfort, Three's Company, The Nanny, and Married With Children. Adding the Patty Duke Show, I Dream of Jeannie, Bewitched, Mr. Ed, Diffrn't Srokes, Barney Miller, WKRP in Cincinnati. (This is off the top of my head, I may have forgotten one or two)

I do agree with you though that some of the Norman Lear stuff could be shelved or scaled back. I personally would not be heartbroken to see less of Maude or Good times. But AITF should remain as it's such an epic show.

They even air sitcoms late on Friday nights (after 8 p.m.). Jeannie and Bewitched from midnight to 2 a.m., Burns & Allen from 3 - 4 a.m., and Jack Benny from 4 - 5 a.m.

I'm glad they air the Norman Lear sitcoms. I especially like Maude because it hasn't gotten as much airtime in syndication as the other sitcoms. They did take All in the Family off earlier this year, but they brought it back this fall.

Diff'rent Strokes was a welcome edition at the beginning of this year. I hadn't seen that one in a long time.

I do miss Leave It to Beaver at 11 p.m. but at least it's still playing on MeTV at 8 a.m., although that's too early for me. :-)

But it shows part of a pattern of changing their lineup. As far as I can see, they have made changes to their lineup at the beginning of every year, at the beginning of every summer, and the beginning of every fall. That's as frequent as most other networks make changes (except TV Land, which changes their schedule on an almost daily basis).

Which made no sense, they bring back a show that is complete on DVD

I think it makes sense. There are a lot of older fans of classic TV shows like myself who prefer to watch TV live rather than DVDs or streaming.

I especially hate hauling out DVDs from cases which are often hard to open and then have to sit through all kinds of FBI warnings. I'd rather just watch it live on TV, and I feel there are other fans of classic TV who feel the same way I do.

I grew up in an era in which that was the only way you could watch TV, and it's still the way I prefer to watch it. I can't explain why, exactly--it may not be logical, but that's the way it is for me. TV viewing was an "event" back then, and I still prefer it that way now. I leave the TV parked on a channel like Antenna TV and watch it as I do things around the house. I can go to the bathroom during commercial breaks without having to be tied to a remote to hit a pause button.

And I expect there are enough of us out there in the viewing audience that it was worthwhile for it to be brought back.

I agree with you that they should probably have some of the new shows air in prime time. When MeTV added Jeannie and Bewitched, it put them at 8 p.m. When MeTV added Gilligan's Island, it put it at 8 p.m. I don't know why Antenna TV doesn't shake up the prime time schedule more.

But I don't know that I would consider "real change" to be defined as narrowly as you have.

Well Animal Rescue is not a show I'd watch and it does seem a little weird to build a marathon around it. But it's no big whoop to me. I'll just watch my DVDs or You Tube instead. There are probably a few other days of marathons I don't really care for. That would leave at least 360 days of superb programming. 98.5% is still great in my book.

I was irritated when my local affiliate preempted the Partridge Family Christmas episode and apparently others for a local merrython of different shows. The most annoying part was the start of the half hour when the host was interviewing local people I had no interest in seeing on Antenna. It's too bad the affiliates aren't required to air the whole national lineup.

But it is nice that Antenna to do a marathon in his memory. Although, I'm a little surprised, because their marathons are usually much longer than 7 hours.

Wow -- I hadn't heard about that yet. This is for people who like Sally Field. Really like Sally. :)

(Or people like me that have become fans of the series).

Thanks for the notice - I had no idea that the entire county would watch repeat episodes of 'The Good Wife', 'The Mentalist', and 'NCIS' on CBS on 2/2. (And to think, I was planning on watching the Super Bowl on FOX that day.)

Wait, some jacka$$ told me CBS had the superbowl this year

Not everyone cares about football. I'm not a Flying Nun fan but if they had picked one of their good shows I would have watched the Antenna marathon.

The show's not my cup of tea either - I'll be skipping it that's for sure. (You wouldn't have an extra barf bag would you...)
