Family Ties (http://www.sitcomsonline.com/boards/showthread.php?t=304740) is a television sitcom that aired on NBC for seven seasons, from 1982 to 1989. The sitcom reflected the move in the United States from the cultural liberalism of the 1960s and 1970s to the conservatism of the 1980s. This was particularly expressed through the relationship between Young Republican Alex P. Keaton (Michael J. Fox) and his hippie parents, Elyse and Steven Keaton (Meredith Baxter-Birney and Michael Gross).

I'm going to say never. I enjoyed the show from it's first episode until it's last.

Never boned the fish and it ended at the perfect time... the end of the 80's.

It didn't bone, but it came close with the birth of Andrew. They made him WAY too precocious for me and centered too many jokes around him.

But I agree; the show ended just at the right time.

The only thing I didn't like was the addition of Nick.

Never, the show was good until the end. Infact, as it went along it continued to get better and better. The show really hit its stride when Alex started college and got even better when he started dating Ellen.
