A.N.T. Farm is a Disney Channel sitcom which premiered on May 6, 2011 as a special preview and continued as a regular series on June 17, 2011. Taking place in San Francisco, the series stars China Anne McClain, Sierra McCormick and Jake Short as middle-schoolers in a gifted program at their local high school called the "Advanced Natural Talent" or "A.N.T." program.

I think I finally figured out what may be wrong w/ the retool/third season of ANT Farm. I think part of the initial appeal of ANT Farm was the "us vs. the world" (i.e. the ANTs vs. the high school students) set-up, which helped ground things more into reality. With the new setting, it's just all ANTs all the time (even though I guess, Lexi is now the closest thing to being an "outsider"), w/ just about everybody's quirks turned up a little.

I see that Chyna's brother (I presume that's how the character's name is spelt anyway- rather than the country China) finally showed up again- I was thinking he had been eliminated from the show altogether. I guess Cameron might still make appearances here and there. That was nice to see. Too bad the father seems to be gone from the equation too though.
Honestly, "A.N.T. Farm" has never been one of my favorites of Disney's current sitcoms. But I really don't care much for it now with the third season changes.
It's a great show for what it is and for those who like it, but as I just said- I've never been a huge fan. Still, it's better than a lot of other things out there.....

Yeah, this show (http://www.tv.com/shows/ant-farm/reviews/) has run its course. It jumped the shark when all the “ANTS” got older (the whole point of the show was that they were young prodigies), and then adding Lexi to their group totally defeated the purpose of them standing out. Moving them from a regular high school to Z-tech killed anything relatable to the series, and when the actual star of the show says, “it’s come to an end”, then it’s time to just let it go.

Z-tech was the shark jumping moment, I had not seen the show in awhile, and when I turned on a new episode the entire change was just JARRING. It basically altered the entire theme and purpose of the show. Kind of like if in season 4 of Wizards of Waverly place, the season starts with the Russos without any powers and they are now a family of high tech super spies. With no explanation at all.
