I watched the show regularly until Simon Cowell left the show. So that's when it jumped the shark/boned the fish. After he left, I didn't care for the show. The X Factor IS the better show.

this season's x factor is so good so far, it's a shame its ratings are terrible.

fox needs to move this show to say monday and tuesday evening.

American Idol jumped the shark because of Season 2:

Kimberley Locke -3rd
Clay Aiken - runner up
Ruben Studdard - winner

I agree with all you with this:

Kimberley Locke - 3rd place
Ruben Studdard - runner up
Clay Aiken - winner

But actually, this my correction to the Season 2 finale:

Ruben Studdard - 3rd place
Kimberley Locke - 2nd place
Clay Aiken - winner

Do I make myself precise to you? If you say "no", then you better adjust your minds immediately, do not ever adjust my mind at all!

I gave up for good in season 10 when James Durbin got voted off in 4th place. It was getting old long before then anyway. It was supposed to be about finding new talent, not focusing on drama and eccentric characters.

Ruben Studdard should not have been entering this show's contest at all!

It boned the fish when simon cowell departed from the show, he was the star of the show.

Nobody cared about Simon Cowell at all for these reasons:

* He badly overlooked both this entire FOX network and entire this show, since it second season, by being too favored despicably on Ruben than Clay and Kimberley. That season 2 finale created a non-stopping brawl.

* He is a worst rude judge in the American Idol history and uses bad language.
