The Munsters was a 1960s American television sitcom depicting the home life of a family of monsters. The show was a satire of both traditional monster movies and popular family entertainment of the era, such as Leave it to Beaver. It ran concurrently with the The Addams Family. Although the Addamses were well-to-do, the Munsters were a more blue-collar family. The Munsters also had higher Nielsen ratings than The Addams Family.

I have never heard of that either. At least not in this context.

I just read that TV Guide now owns the phrase Jumped The Shark and apparently we should say JTS or we might get sued :) Boned is an odd word.

.

The Munsters wasn't on long enough to judge whether or not it had gone downhill (only 2 seasons).

While it wasn't a spectacular sitcom, it was consistent in quality for the short time it was on.

Imo, the show got better during it's second and final season.

Never! It was only on two seasons and was always good! Nothing was any different except for a different Marilyn, and both girls played her well! I liked the first Marilyn a little better (being platinum blonde, resembling Marilyn Monroe and named Marilyn was really cool I thought) but it didn't make any difference to the show!!
