I wish I knew that too. Chris Mann's book, Come and Knock on Our Door, supplies original taping dates for Seasons 5-8 (1980-84), but none from previous seasons. I would guess it was one of the episodes that aired in early January. Somewhere on the Net on on tv I saw the front page from the script for "Handcuffed", OAD 01/29/1980, and I remember that the script had a date from early January on it. My closest guess, using the production numbers supplied in epguides.com, would be "The Love Lesson", production number 0417, since it was likely the last episode taped in 1979 on Friday, December 14. The production number from "Handcuffed" was 0418. The next week would probably be too close to Christmas for the cast & crew to tape another episode.
