I love the show but I think it should have ended after the 7th season. The show just wasn't as funny as it had been. Yes there were great episodes in the last 2 seasons but not as great compared to the first 7 seasons.:D

I feel that the fifth season should have been when it ended because both Lecy Goranson and Sara Gilbert left the show (Well, techically, Sara Gilbert didn't officially leave until Season 6 but she only minor guest appearences and it just wasn't the same anymore)

It should have ended when Darlene and David married. It was good up until the last couple of seasons. The whole lottery mess completely ruined the show.

There shouldn't have been more than 5 seasons! I didn't like it as much after Becky and Mark left, but the next season was OK with the new neighbors. (Was that season 4 or 5)? After that I didn't like it that much anymore! :(

I picked after season 6. Everything after that sucked in my opinion. Roseanne Barr and her character were insufferable after season 5 or 6.

Season 8 should've been the last. While the show had declined in quality and ratings by then, it was still decent enough to not tarnish the series the way season 9 did. Roseanne having so much control over the show was a blessing and a curse simultaneously.

I also thought the lottery episodes were absurd. BUT I thought the episodes about Darlene and David's baby daughter were beautiful. That said, I wish Dan had not died (according to Roseanne's 'real life' narrative). His death really put a darkness over the entire show.
