Not only do these 2 TV icons have new sitcoms premiering next week, the premieres will be going head-to-head Thursday at 9:00. MJF will move a half hour later the next week so they won't be regular timeslot rivals. Which one will you watch live? I'll go with MJF since he'll be airing the whole hour.

Ugh, you should be able to choose the time the poll ends, I wanted it to close at 8:59PM.

i'm curious about both shows, but I am going to record them and watch later - I'm really not thinking I am going to end up watching either one regularly.

I'll DVR them and watch them later. I don't know if I'll like them or not. I'm guessing I'll like MJF more since I've liked just about everything he's ever been in. They don't look too funny though.

Not a problem for me. I'll be watching Michael's show on Wed. night and Robin Williams on Thursday. I expect both shows to be the biggest hits of the fall season.

I'm more interested in MJF than Crazy Ones. Crazy Ones looks like it could be a bit grating, but I'm still kind of interested in it.

I still haven't figured out what i'm watching live Thursdays. I like the whole NBC lineup but have no interest in Welcome To The Family, so I may watch CBS from 8 to 10 live but I'm not sure I'll be able to sit through what looks like a new form of dreadful 2.5 Men. I would say I'm looking forward to MJF more than TCO so if I don't watch anything live I'd probably watch that first.

The Michael J Fox Show. I love RW too. But, The Crazy Ones doesn't seem like my kind of sitcom.

I've changed my mind and will watch Robin live. since Michael encores tomorrow night and I want to see the Jack Soo tribute on the 9:30 Barney Miller.

Underwhelmed by The Crazy Ones, yet another CBS comedy with lots of crude sex talk. MJF is probably better, I'll watch it tomorrow.

I chose The Michael J. Fox Show over The Crazy Ones, and actually took the opportunity to sample The MJF Show, with its first two episodes.

I've been looking to sample single-camera comedies after Modern Family started airing its reruns on USA. I also want to sample The Middle as well. Did not actually bother getting into The Office or 30 Rock or even Scrubs.

I liked The Michael J Fox Show a lot. Good writing and great acting from MJF & Betsy Brandt. The second episode leaned a little too heavy on formulaic sitcom plots for me, but all in all I liked it and will be interested to see where it goes. It didn't top Brooklyn Nine-Nine as my favorite new comedy this fall, but it's not too far behind.

Agreed. I was pleasantly surprised by the first episode, but the second was far too cheesy and predictable for my liking.

I haven't seen the second episode yet but I did enjoy The Michael J. Fox Show . It wasn't laugh out loud funny but it does have a special charm. I haven't seen The Crazy Ones yet so I can't comment on that.

I have both shows on DVR and look forward to watching both though, I'm leaning toward Robin Williams cause he's so unpredictable.

The Michael J. Fox Show was horrible. I was really excited for the debut, but it was just not good.

The Crazy Ones wasn't great, but it wasn't bad either. I'll give it another episode or two and see what happens.

I understand why MJF chose NBC. They gave him a 22 episode commitment but their comedies have had bad ratings for so long that it's going to be hard for that show to survive. I don't think the show was horrible. It just wasn't very funny but he can make even a mediocre sitcom good. I wish it was a multi-cam though. The only single cam's I seem to like air on ABC.

Michael J. Fox's show was just unfunny. .

Didn't like it at all.

I wish it was a multi-cam though.
I'd imagine the Parkinson's precludes Michael J. Fox from shooting a multicam, which requires actors to reliably hit their marks and have good timing.

I was really disappointed in The Michael J. Fox Show. Not a fan of the mockumentary format, his family isn't funny especially the sister and I didn't like the dig at Chick-Fil-A to serve NBC's political agenda. The newsroom scenes have some potential, they should show more of that and less of the family.

The Chick-Fil-A gag was more of a poke at the daughters' over-the-top and forced "open-mindedness" than any sort of political propaganda. Not every mention of a political viewpoint that opposes yours is "propaganda"...

I mostly agree with what you're saying here.

The mockumentary format has been used to death. I don't need the characters talking to me, just do the show.

The only thing I enjoyed about The Michael J. Fox Show was the chemistry between Michael J. Fox and Betsy Brandt. The rest of the family just seems to be "there" and the daughter was completely unlikable (in my opinion).

Overall, I was just highly disappointed. The one show I was most excited for and I gave up already!

The Crazy Ones>The Michael J. Fox Show

I couldn't even make it through the first 10 minutes of TMJFS, it was too boring and dull. I loved TCO, I couldn't stop laughing and it left me wanting another episode.

I finally seen The Crazy Ones and I enjoyed it, Robin did seem to hold back some and there were a few chuckles. I think it will get better, the outtakes were hilarious.

I have seen both shows and I ended up liking both. Personally, I could care less whether a sitcom is single or multi-camera as long as its good and funny. In that sense, I can honestly say that both series reflected the personalities of its stars. Robin Williams has always been the kind of comedian that can make you laugh out loud, sometimes in gut-splitting fashion, while Michael J Fox is more suited to some soft chuckles and a few warm smiles. While both possess different styles, they do have one thing in common. They happen to be very good friends off-screen.

In his book, "Always Looking Up", Michael describes Robin as "one of the kindest and funniest people I've ever spent an amount of time with" (page 39) and describes his comedic style and genius in this way: "Robin Williams is always on, unleashing his rapid-fire, stream-of-consciousness patter on anyone who is lucky enough to be within the sound of his voice or even in his line of vision, and you don't have to "get it" to find him excruciatingly funny". (page 38)

That's high praise from a very funny man in his own right.

I can't wait for the next episodes this week.

I watched and enjoyed both shows. MJF was a little funnier than I expected, the promos didn't look 'haha' funny IMO, but put a smile on your face. The Crazy Ones has great potential, but as a fan of many modern NBC comedies, it felt more like an NBC show to me.

I really wanted to like MJF, but Crazy Ones was greatly superior. Not even in the same league.

The Crazy Ones 2nd episode was an improvement over the pilot. The Michael J. Fox Show got worse from an already weak start, if it's not better next week I might drop it. And I already liked the Welcome to the Family pilot, saw it on demand earlier. Who would have thought it would be better than MJF?

Robin Williams is the hairiest guy on the planet, his arms are harrier then Alf the puppet lol, if i had to choose between Michael J Fox or Robin Williams i would say Michael J Fox he is a better TV actor and movie actor in my theory.
