I wasn't impressed with the season-opener. I believe the show has indeed suffered tremendously since the departure of Meloni. After all, the chemistry between him and Benson was a lot of the reason we watched. Now, they have Danny Pino and Kelly Giddish and in my opinion, they seem to be fishing for where these two characters fit in. There is no chemistry between any of the characters anymore. Each seems to be an island unto themselves. They try to connect, try to mesh and they just don't. I was sort of expecting to see a major cast shakeup this season, but it didn't happen. We will see what happens this season, but if the show can make it through Season 15 and into Season 16, some people are going to have to go to revive life in a once great show.
