I saw him on an episode of Have Gun Will Travel the other morning, and he talked as loud as he did on DTM...This was before DTM had even aired too....Did it have something to do with the sets back then and acoustics?

Who? Jay North? Joe Kearns? Herb Anderson? Gale Gordon? You never state which one here. GrtGzu 09-19-2013, 06:43 AM Who? Jay North? Joe Kearns? Herb Anderson? Gale Gordon? Oh I'm sorry:o ...Jay North..and the show was Wanted: Dead or Alive".. missy's pop pop 02-05-2014, 09:03 PM Considering that Jay North is supposed to be playing a five-year-old boy, it's no surprise he always sounded like he was yelling at the top of his lungs. Most five-year-olds do get loud now and then! Unfortunately for him, that got a little difficult by the fourth season, since Dennis (now approaching nine in TV years) was now played by a 12-year-old Jay North. You'll notice he quit wearing overalls in S4. And, a contemporary report had a wag commenting that "soon they'll be calling him 'Mr. Dennis the Menace.'" bliss 02-06-2014, 04:22 PM I'm surprised his hair hadn't fallen out by the last season with the constant bleaching.... pjpiazza 02-11-2014, 02:24 PM The yelling in Season 1 was so over the top so was his doughiness. |
