Oh I'm sorry:o ...Jay North..and the show was Wanted: Dead or Alive"..

Considering that Jay North is supposed to be playing a five-year-old boy, it's no surprise he always sounded like he was yelling at the top of his lungs. Most five-year-olds do get loud now and then!

Unfortunately for him, that got a little difficult by the fourth season, since Dennis (now approaching nine in TV years) was now played by a 12-year-old Jay North. You'll notice he quit wearing overalls in S4. And, a contemporary report had a wag commenting that "soon they'll be calling him 'Mr. Dennis the Menace.'"

I'm surprised his hair hadn't fallen out by the last season with the constant bleaching....

The yelling in Season 1 was so over the top so was his doughiness.
