There are conflicting reports about whether or not the recent single-disc DVD releases "Mama's Favorites - Season 1" and "Mama's Favorites - Season 2" have newly created episode introductions by Vicki Lawrence, where she provides insights into why she chose those as her favorites.

I've been unable to locate them at my local Walmart, Target or K-Mart. Has anyone found and purchased them? I'd really like to know if these introductions appear on those DVDs.

Thanks.

I bought the Favorites Season 1 DVD just out of curiosity and the do have very brief introductions by Vicki before each episode. Usually she mentions one particular actor or actress in that episode and tells something about them, for example, for the Wedding Part 2 episode, she talks about Earl Boen and that he became famous for appearing in the Terminator movie series. For "Cellmates", she mentions that the actress who played the prostitute had a major role in "West Side Story". They are very brief.

You're kidding... They DO exist? I can't believe it. What I want to know is why aren't these included in the complete series set? We spend $200 on the complete series set (or $300 for the signature version) but if we want EVERY bit of extra material that was created for Mama's Family's release on DVD, we have to buy THESE, too and double-dip episodes we already have. This is really disappointing.
