Exactly 10 years ago, a great sadness fell upon Hollywood, when John Ritter, star of TV shows such as Three's Company (1977-1984), Three's a Crowd (1984-1985), Hooperman (1987-1989), Hearts Afire (1992-1995), and 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter (2002-2005), as well as movies such as Problem Child (1990) and Problem Child 2 (1991), died unexpectedly, during rehearsals of his latest series. He was only 54, 6 days shy of his 55th birthday.
Rest in peace, John Ritter. You are not forgotten.

I was so shocked when he died. He'd always stayed in the public eye and he'd always remained the "youthful funny guy". Guys like that always seem to die too young, no matter what their chronological age is.
I loved his performance in "Bad Santa"!

Wow, today is the 10th anniversary of his death. I was programmed to only think 9/11

I remember the day. I remember practically everybody on Sitcoms Online had John in their avatar. It was surreal. Then I remember TV Land actually had a week long tribute to John. I watch most of it. John was great in everything he did. It's hard to believe it's been 10 years. RI.P. John. You'll never be forgotten.

Yeah I remember reading about John's death which was the first thing on Yahoo's homepage and telling my mom about it since our whole family watched Three's Company.
Also of note is that it's the same day Christian Bale was announced for Christopher Nolan's Batman.
