I just heard that Dirk Gently's Holistic Detective Agency is going to air on PBS starting this week !!!!

Holy Crap - I didn't even know they had made a series out of this iconic book series from Douglas Adams (Creator of Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, and Life the Universe and Everything).

The sad part is they only made 4 episodes, hopefully they rotate them a few times. :(


if you get a chance check this series out - the Dirk Gently books were based on original stories that Douglas Adams had written for Dr Who back in the way back when that didn't get used and he repurposed them for this strange comedy-mystery-detective series.

I'm just in the process (finally) of reading the Hitchhiker's books. So far I've read 3 books of the 5 book trilogy! I just recently learned that they made a TV series of Hitchhikers and that my library has the DVDs. I hope to check them out in the near future. I had no idea there was a TV series of the Dirk Gently book. Cool!
