"True Blood's" Carrie Preston Heads to "The Following"

The "True Blood" star has landed a guest-starring role on the upcoming season of "The Following", E! Online reports.
Preston will play a groupie of serial killer cult leader Joe Carroll (James Purefoy). Although it had seemed that he had perished in last season's finale, Purefoy confirmed his return to the Fox series by popping up at Comic-Con in July.
"The Following" will return to Fox in January 2014.
