Julie was always the most intellectual. She scored super high on the SATs at age 15 when she took the test for Katie. She needed to go to college. Samantha did, and Samantha never really liked school that much throughout. I can see Katie not going, but it seemed like it should have been automatic that Julie would go.

It was very out of character for Julie not to go to college. It made sense that Katie didn't go to college, but not Julie. Julie was too gifted to give up an education.

Totally agree. After the third season things really starting going downhill. Once the Chief got sick and was away, and Joey was added, it was really bad. The first two seasons were golden!!

She could have enrolled in night time college courses so she could look after the baby during the day.
