It should have ended the year before or after the chief died. The girls were gone, Joeys little brother was added. An unknown rosie o'donnell added, that landlord was added and the show was set in New York. These new people on the show brought nothing to the show. And at times it looked like Nell herself was getting pushed out of storylines as it seemed she was asked to leave the room while some of these new supporting characters were given air time. This was a very bad final season.

i didnt care for it myself either it was boring and dull and not exciting as it use to be I didn't care for the new carries at all.

I agree 100%. It seemed like a completely different show. It should have ended when Samantha went to college, and Julie and Katie moved away. The perfect last episode should have been "Sam Goes to College". The original premise of the show was Nell helping the Chief raise his daughters after the death of their mother. Once it stopped centering around the Kanisky family, it should have ended. I don't even watch the last season.

The show was going downhill anyways, but they shouldn't have left the Kanisky household. They didn't need to change cities.

Every episode is just sort of an extended closure, but then after "I Love New York", it just gets stupid. None of the episodes focuses on Nell as a singer and pursuing it in NY. She was in NY and she could have done that, instead, they put her in McDillon and Loud a few episodes throughout the season.

In the first place, I would like to say that I am very happy to see this page getting some action again. And, to tell you the truth, I stopped watching in the middle of the last season. I felt that the plot had gotten so out-of-hand that it just was not worth my time anymore.

I liked season six. It was fun for me. There were some episodes that could not cut the mustard. I was disappointed as a kid when the show was not renewed but I understand now. It seemed more like a spinoff called "Nell and Addy". LOL
