I just posted the same question on Warner Archive's Facebook page, but they have yet to respond. Hopefully it won't be much longer since WA seems to be moving quicker on Eight is Enough now than they are on Alice and there are twice as many Alice seasons to go.

Great news! I want them all, even though seasons 7-9 were at times mediocre they are still miles better than the sitcoms on TV today.

I think the show goes down hill after Vera gets married, when halfof the episodes take place away from the diner lol

I will have to ask, not sure, but there was talk of releasing it when season 4 of Alice is released.

It definitely makes sense to release it either at the same time as Season 4 or soon after.

Flo departs before the end of season 4, so we will get the introduction to Belle, toward the end of the season.

I figured an episode might be an extra feature on a disc. I haven't seen a short lived show make a full season on DVD yet, unless it had some kind of cult following. I would love to see Enos on DVD someday, but don't have my hopes up.

What you say makes sense, but I still have my fingers crossed. Hey, I couldn't believe it when Shout included the whole 1st season of Fish as a bonus feature on the Barney Miller set, so stranger things have happened.

That said, if Warner Archive only had an interest in releasing 1 episode of Flo (as a bonus on an Alice set, like you suggested), then I would hope it would be the 1 episode I have a vague memory of from when it aired back when I was a kid - the episode where Mel (Vic Tayback) showed up for a visit. It's one more chance to see Flo and Mel interact beyond her final Alice appearance, so it seems like a natural choice.

I remember Baby I'm Back. It was Demond Wilson's first sitcom after Sanford and Son ended. It was also the show that had the opening where Wilson described his mother-in-law Luzelle as "French for killer."

TLC I am sure you will enjoy FLO, the series. While it's not as fun as ALICE, it sure has its moments. IMO the Thanksgiving episode is fantastic which features all her brothers (who are perfectly cast BTW) and Forrest Tucker plays her Daddy like he did on ALICE. The show also boasts great casting in Flo's mother and sister (Sudie Bond and Lucy Lee Flippin). As a TV fan, I am sure you know who they are.

I watched Flo on Youtube. Its not a bad show. I like the Thanksgiving Episode also, and her father and I think one of her brothers were on Alice.

Great news! I will be ordering right away to be sure I receive pressed discs. Hopefully Seasons 5 and 6 will follow quickly in 2014.

Warner seems to be able to keep their releases secret until only a few weeks before a show comes out! I hope TVShowsondvd.com makes an announcement and shows the cover art soon!

Wow--I am surprised they didn't use a cast photo with Flo since this is her last season. But I have never seen that pic with Belle before so I am glad they are using that one. And it's from the proper time period too--the Spring 1980 TV Guide cover photo session when she still had the longer hair. Most pics of Diane Ladd with the cast feature her sporting the shorter 'Ann Landers'-type hairdo she wore in S5.

Also interesting that they kept the original title font for this release. I was wondering if they would change it to the one they used on-air for S4 onward. It was used on the 2006 Best-Of DVD.

Don't forget that there were two episodes in S4 that were actually taped for S2 but held back ("The Bus", "The Reporter"). They appeared on the S2 release.

Just an interesting tidbit I'd like to share:

When I called and placed my order today, the very friendly guy who I spoke with asked me what show I'd like to see released and I told him "Step by Step". He said he was waiting on WKRP. I'm not sure if they're doing a survey for upcoming releases or if he was just making small talk. Either way, it was cool to talk with someone who didn't think I was a freak who watches way too much TV...LOL!

Yes, I was surprised also that they used the photo of Belle too. They also did not use the new Alice "logo" that was used from season 4 to the end. Perhaps they just wanted to keep the cover art uniform?

I ordered my copy on its release date (Tuesday 10/22) and I received it yesterday (10/26) via USPS.

BTW, It seems when you order via phone the order arrives sooner than when you order on their website. I always call and place my order.

I ordered mine on 10/22, and got mine today 10/28 (MON). I was so surprised that some of you were reporting you got yours. (And that I got mine), I thought the release date was November 5.

I haven't even finished season 3.

"The Bus" and "The Reporter" are on this release, that' why its 26 episodes. I don't know why they're on there since they were on Season 2. I'm glad they were on season 2, though, since that's when they were produced!

The front photo is kind of sad. There were high hopes for the new character, and Diane Ladd is a great actress. But something didn't work, and she didn't last.

Strange that Warner would highlight a character that didn't work and signaled the decline in the quality of the show, instead of highlighting Flo, who was still on the show for most of the season. :confused:

I think the artwork for season 4 should have been saved for season 5. Flo was still around for 3/4 of the season. Who knows who will be featured on the season 5 set, Belle or Jolene, cause Belle was on 3/4 of that season. Jolene debuted toward the end of the season.

I think that's Flo's back not Belle's in that one picture with Alice. I can't tell.

It's more than obvious that Warner was marketing the Season 4 DVD for Diane Ladd, taking advantage of the fact that she played the original Flo in the movie earning her not only a Best Supp. Actress Academy Award Nomination but she actually won a Golden Globe for that role. Diane has had a very good working relationship with the studio throughout her career and it doesn't surprise me that they worked her onto the cover even if she does only appear on a few episodes on the last disc. The campaign slogan for this season DVD was "There's another new girl in town". Perhaps the powers that be at Warner thought after seeing Polly Holliday on the last three DVD covers, fans "the buyers" may have wanted a change even though most of us can all agree that Polly made the show! Remember it's all about the money and the executives will try anything new to bring in the dollars! With that said, I'm loving the 4th season! My favorite episode is Good Buddy Flo. Mel's Diner being rammed by old Flo at the wheel of that Big Trucker, Priceless!

Now I know why Diane Ladd (as Belle) is featured on the season 4 cover. Cause Polly Holliday is on the cover of Flo The Complete Series, released almost at the same time.

I have been collecting ALICE press photos for over 20 years and I have never seen ONE single cast photo in color with Jolene. I have some individual portraits of each character from the later years, but no group shots. I wonder if they will be able to dig up four or five cast pics for the remaining cover art.

It's great to finally be able to watch the "Belle" episodes. I've never seen them and Diane did a really good job. Of course, Flo is still my favorite...I always tear up a little when I watch "Flo's Farewell". That's probably my favorite episode of the entire series. I love when Flo whispers "kiss my grits" to Mel.
