Silly thread alert:

If you were going to solve an Unsolved Mysteries case what absurd outcome would result? (You can solve it with another Unsolved Mystery or some kind of pop culture reference.

For example, I think that DB Cooper is the person Carly Simon was singing about in "You're So Vain"

GREAT IDEA!
I have 3 cases to add for fun :)

Larry Crompton, the lead investigator on the East Area Rapist case, who has done tons of research, worked the case for years, has inserted himself into the media, and even written a book about the EAR.....turned out to be the EAR himself!!!!....mwah ah ah!

Bonnie Wilder was originally one of the ring leaders of The Rolex Robbers. As time went by, Bonnie looks began to go down hill, but she also became much wiser, and thought to herself "Why make out with rich ugly men for 10k when I can use my new-found unassuming looks like make 5 times that amount by ripping off big corporate stores?"....so that's what she did.

Amy Billing was having an affair with a much old married man who lived out of state. He flew in whenever he could and the two would have secret rendezvous. In early 1974, Amy found out she was pregnant. She was very afraid of the consequences of having a baby out of wed-lock with a much older married man. So, her and her lover cooked up a plan. Amy fled to Europe, had the baby, and waited for her lover to divorce his wife and eventually meet up with her. It took two years for her lover and her to finally reconnect, but they rekindled their romance and still live happily together somewhere as we speak. What Amy didn't know...(ready for it?)...was that her lover, William Bradford Bishop, did not divorce his wife, but instead murdered her, his own children, and is still on the run. To this day, she is blissfully unaware of his horrible crimes and has no idea the two of them were ever featured on Unsolved Mysteries.

Don Devereaux...he seemed to know a whole lot about the murders of Danny Casolero, Charles Morgan, and his own neighbor....maybe too much....

The Lancaster extortion letter writers moved to Circleville, Ohio and thought it would be a hoot to start writing anonymous letters there as well.

Cynthia Johnson and Charlotte Pollis left on their own because of their crazy families. They met in St. Croix and are still there but don't call on any voodoo priests for help so they don't get poisoned.

And speaking of Charlotte Pollis, her mother turned out to be L'Enfant who was constantly calling Gabby Bashir.

Darn. I had my money on L'Enfant being Courtney Love.
