"Dexter's" James Remar Heads to "Grey's Anatomy" for Arc

Dexter's daddy won't be off the air for long. James Remar has been tapped for a multi-episode arc on "Grey's Anatomy's" upcoming tenth season, TVGuide.com has confirmed.

Details on Remar's role were not available. TVLine.com first reported the news saying that he will appear early on in the season.

"Grey's Anatomy" returns for a two-hour Season 10 premiere on Thursday, Sept. 26 at 9/8c on ABC.

It’s a mystery that’s been nagging "Grey’s Anatomy" fans for weeks, and it’s about to be solved.

Last month, ABC released a logline for this Thursday’s episode that included this tantalizing tease: “A familiar face returns to the hospital.”



Well, TVLine can now exclusively ID the top-secret visitor and preview his/her emotional return (translation: spoilerphobes, hit the nearest exit).

The individual checking back in is… Alex’s dad, once again played by "Dexter" vet James Remar.
