GSN Orders "Mind of a Man" Game Show
by THE DEADLINE TEAM
Wednesday August 14, 2013

GSN has ordered 40 episodes of the new, original half-hour game show in which two female contestants, with the help of a celebrity panel, try to figure out what men really think about dating, marriage, working, etc.

"Mind of a Man" is set to premiere on GSN in late 2013.

Questions on the show have all been previously asked and answered by a survey of 100 men. Over three rounds, the contestants will try to determine the correct answers with the help of the celebrities who will offer their opinions about what men are really thinking.

The successful contestant could walk away with the grand prize.

"Mind of a Man" is produced by Never Nominated Productions Inc. with 51 Minds Entertainment’s Mark Cronin serving as exec producer.

I bet it's going to be hosted by a woman, not that I have anything against that it's just that I wouldn't be surprise, that's all.

Hate to say it, but it sounds like a rip-off of "Family Feud" (minus Steve Harvey). Re-read the concept. "We surveyed 100 men to find their opinions on (fill in the blank)"....

even with a different topic Baldy's Feud still has to be mentioned, Where has the world of Game Show entertainment come to?

This looked like a horrible show from the ads, hopefully it bombed.

I don't see this show lasting beyong 1-2 seasons (lucky if it even gets a 2nd season or so).

The gameplay is weak at best. The questioning in the 1st few rounds are a lame Family Feud ripoff (minus the bawdy humor), the third round is a bland ripoff of TPiR's "Easy As 1-2-3" game and the worst part of all of this show's gameplay is the "Guy's High Five" final round where the game is won/loss by picking the #1 answer or the #5 answer while your opponent can stink the entire 1st few rounds and watch their opponent whiff on picking the worst answer. The endgame is also lazily done. The "Tag Team" endgame is basically a lame variant of the This/That endgame.

Deray Davis tries his best to work with what he has around him and does a stellar job with his question reading in the endgame and seems like the nice guy you wanna hang out with but he could use a bit more polish.

Also the way the panelists and special guests/staff members (who are supposed to be there to help with the contestants in giving their answers) hog up too much of the gameplay time and even their attempts to help the players also falls flat too.

The set is a bad combo of the balcony portion from Show Me the Money and Love Triangle.

Verdict: Mediocre at best. D

I guess Davis has borrowed some of the mannerisms from Harvey right?

and if that's the case, I won't be surprised! also I won't be surprise if this show is inducted at Game Show Garbage next month.

also are the female contestants good at the game or just not getting it?
(no offense BTW Ladies!)
