thank you, Jenny. I appreciate that.

I don't mind admitting to everyone, I'm a little scared.

There's nothing wrong with admitting to being scared in a situation like this. Hoping and praying for the best, Joe!! God bless you.

So sorry to hear this. The good thing is that if it is caught early, treatment is very effective. Wishing you the best of luck and keeping you in my prayers...

Please try not to be afraid -- my uncle had the same thing and aside from having to go in for PSA checks every so often, it didn't affect his life negatively at all. Best wishes and many good thoughts coming your way.

My Dad is a 20 year prostate cancer survivor! I hope and pray you will realize similiar results from your treatment!

I hated reading this Joe. :( Of course you're scared. You wouldn't be human if you weren't. It sounds as if your doctor is optimistic about your prognosis, if I read that right, and I hope I did. You're a strong person with all you've been through, medically. You'll tackle this head on.

Please know that I'm here for you; we all are. If you ever need to chat, just send me an e-mail. I'm a good listener.

THANK YOU Tara, Janice & everyone!! It really means a lot to me knowing you're all thinking positively.

I was talking to my mother earlier; and she told me that a friend of hers was diagnosed with prostrate cancer about 10 years ago, chose to do nothing about it and he's still down in Florida enjoying his retirement!

And keep in mind the doctor didn't say I HAVE cancer; he just said I have signs of it.

I just hope the signs are false.

till I go back to the doctor to discuss treatment for my prostrate cancer that my biopsy showed signs of....I'm no longer scared, my mothers doctor told her that most men who are 50 and up (I'm 55) get it and do nothing about it and they're fine. And my p.t. says she knows friends who have had it and they've all survived.

Prostate cancer is very treatable. Especially in the early stages. Hope you have a successful full recovery!

You're in good company as even former pro athletes like Joe Theismann (Washington Redskins) have prostate issues, and they get fine treatment.

Thanks for letting us know how you're doing -- everyone here extends best wishes.

Treky, sorry to hear you're dealing with this, and for not seeing this thread sooner. But, as others said, if your doctors are optimistic that's a very good sign. Praying for you. God bless.

well, I go back to the "sawbones" (doctor) tomorrow (today, by the time most of you read this)

I've thought about it, and despite what people are telling me, I'm a little scared.:(

well I just got back and great news!! He doesn't think he should give me treatment, but he wants to keep an eye on it, so I go back in 5 months.

That's great news! What a relief for you! Try not to worry. I know that's hard not do but apparently the doctor isn't too worried so that should help! Take care!
