The Made for TV Movie Fridays sounds intriguing! I hope they show those classic 1970s scary TV movies like The Legend of Lizzie Borden!

According to this PDF file from Memorable Entertainment Television (Me-TV) (http://metvnetwork.com/files/Me-TV_Network_Q4_2013_Eff_9-2-13_EP.pdf), "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" and "She-Ra: Princess of Power" were actually moved to 7:00 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. (Eastern times) respectively on the schedule for Saturday.

Nice to see Gilligan's Island back on TV, but unfortunately I won't get to see it since my affiliate runs stupid MyNetwork TV during that time, but that's no big loss since I own the entire Gilligan's Island series on DVD. Maybe I'll be able to watch the Love Boat sometimes on Sundays if I'm home and not doing something else. They still won't show more Get Smart and put it on at a decent time which I'm not happy about. Otherwise, nothing else to exciting for me on this schedule. I hope Antenna TV has a good fall schedule, but they said they aren't announcing it until the end of October which is way too long.

Hey Paven, can you please explain the Saturday E/I series (or Green Hornet/Guns of Will Sonnett/Branded/The Rebel) and Sunday E/I series (or Gomer Pyle/Petticoat Junction/Beverly Hillbillies) that is listed on the schedule. Am I right in thinking that most everybody (OTA and cable customers, where available) will still get the E/I PROGRAMMING for those 3 hour blocks and maybe it's AT&T U-verse customers that will get the classic programming?

From way the download PDF schedule the E/I program looks like those change. nge in October

I wish they had I Love Lucy on for a few hours on Sunday, well in my area they would have to do "The Lucy Show, because another one of our local stations already owns the rights to I Love Lucy until the end of the year, I wish the Brady Bunch was on weekdays and also on for the Brady Brunch on Sundays

I find it kind of odd that Wanted: Dead or Alive is buried in such a very-early morning slot, although Stagecoach West never received the better timeslots either. Wanted hasn't been overexposed on MeTV and deserves a little better.

And I know this won't happen, but I'm holding out hope that the last season or two of The Streets of San Francisco will be aired.

Man, The Lucy Show sure wasn't around very long. It's always back to I Love Lucy. Doesn't affect me as I have all three of her series complete on DVD but not everybody does. They didn't even get through the entire run of The Lucy Show did they?

Also two episodes of Gilligan's Island a day will make that series go by rather quickly as it only ran for three seasons but it is a nice addtion. I'm glad they kept Ironside and (although I don't get to see it because of local news :mad: ) Family Affair around.

I'm most happy that they haven't gone with the "modern" shows like Antenna TV has with "Married With Children" which I never liked from day one. To me classic TV ends around 1985 or so. Just my two cents worth.

Eh, for this schedule. The shows I like to watch I love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver will not air in my market because its paid programming. Great, I have to lose out on Mary Tyler Moore show for an hour of Gillagan's Island and F-Troop. Ugh.

Nothing much changes on my affiliate. I still won't get to watch the shows i want. The westerns remain the same and overnight is pretty much the same except for Thriller.

I'd like to see more flip-flopping of daytime, evening, primetime, and late-night. For a really long time now, Gunsmoke, Bonanza, and The Big Valley have occupied the afternoon timeslots. The Mary Tyler Moore Show is being reduced greatly in primetime showing, so why not move it there for a while, and pair it with The Bob Newhart Show or any other sitcom -- to take one of the hour slots?

I'll probably be watching 'Til Death and The Cosby Show on My Network TV in the afternoons, unless they've canned them...! I'm fortunate to be able to see that network, along with Me, THIS, World Harvest, and Antenna -- it's rare now that I can't find something worth watching. (PBS at times too -- I've watched the Burt Bacharach special at least 6 times now...!)

Finally regarding Me, it's a shame that Night Gallery never gets shown at a decent time. Well worth watching.

I am happy the most about The Love Boat coming to Me-TV. I wish it was on 5 nights a week instead of just on Sunday. Also, I am just a little disappointed that the same comedies or dramas return over and over again instead of trying new classic favorites. We get Petticoat Junction and The Bob Newhart Show once more. Why not try Andy Griffith Show and The Jeffersons instead? I would also love to see Barnaby Jones and CHIPS come to Me-TV. I really don't like seeing Gilligan's Island airing two episodes back to back in primetime.

Generally MeTV doesn't air colorized episodes -- but I did see one colorized Bewitched ep either on there or on My Network TV. It was the one where Gladys has a dream about when she and Abner first met.

I wish there was a way to see colorized Season 1 episodes of Gilligan's Island. I have all the DVDs but Season 1 only has the black and white versions. The only thing I could find on YouTube were the theme songs.

MeTV Network Fall 2013

I am so mad at the local ME-TV here in Buffalo, New York. In the summer they preempted all the 10-11PM shows to give us Bullwinkle, which already aired in the day. Then when the new schedule started, they kept Bullwinkle for an extra week. We got MTM, The Bob Newhart Show, Rhoda, and Dick Van Dyke for a couple of weeks and now they have preempted them all for That 70's show, UGH! It would be different if it was a show you couldn't see anywhere but is on three different channels here.

TV Land used to run the Krofft shows on Saturday mornings a long time ago. See, TV Land was able to air some niche shows back then and they didn't go bankrupt, so the idea that they couldn't air a few today is fiction.

It was never said that TV land couldn't air old shows, it was that they could not survive as strictly a classic tv channel

Wrong, it was said several times:

If they were airing more obscure classics, it'd be a different story. But a network like that would just never be profitable, unfortunately.

Come on, let's be honest - even if TV Land was airing exclusively classics, they probably wouldn't be airing those shows. I get that you want to see those shows but no TV network is going to air shows that haven't been in syndication in years and make a profit off of them.

But that was not what I was disputing. I was disputing certain statements that have been made that TV Land cannot air ANY "obscure" shows because they would not be profitable.

Obscure shows are not on cable because they don't have enough episodes so they can only be shown as part of a special programming
