You may or not be getting any of those travel commercials about Missouri on your local channels,you know...from the department of tourism. The ones that try to lure you over here by telling you what a wonderful state it is and all the fun and exciting things there are to do, Hunting,Fishing,Mountain climbing,Great hotels and restaurants. You are probably thinking, " Gee,I would like to know more about Missouri but I don't know who to ask " Well,you are in luck because I am here to help. I am not going to give you the usual polished BS, I had to do some digging to find this stuff that they don't want you to see. I'm sure it will help make up your mind about vacationing or moving here. These are all links that I will keep posting on this thread,unfortunately most are from Wikipedia. This first link tells the history of Missouri, notice the official language says "None". That might be why it's hard to understand a lot of folks around here.

1904 was a big year for St.Louis.

They had the National Democratic Convention.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1904_Democratic_National_Convention

Think of all that money that exchanged hands

The Summer Olympics were held here. Read the part about the marathon,I got a kick out of that.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1904_Summer_Olympics

The Worlds Fair was the biggest attraction,even made a movie about it with Judy Garland. They didn't show all the primitive tribes they brought over here to exploit in the movie,some wanted to eat dogs and one of the fair organizers was going to allow it but people bitched so I guess they didn't get to snack on any. I don't think any of those tribes were paid much if any to perform,I wonder if they got boat fair back to their countries?

Here is a link with a lot of pictures;

Historic fires in Missouri.

Wikipedia says the first U.S firefighter to die on duty was Capt.Thomas B.Targee during the Great St.Louis fire of 1849.That's what Wikipedia says.

http://perdurabo10.tripod.com/ships/id298.html

I looked up on the internet on nursing home fires and was surprised at the number,suspicious too.

This was an old bridge that they blew up a few years ago and they had a hell of a time doing it, it just didn't want to come down. We hung around that bridge quite a bit as kids. Everyone practiced shooting under there by the river. It was one narrow ass bridge to drive across,I once got halfway across and had to go backwards because they were towing a mobile home across. Once we were walking across it and started throwing malted milk balls at these two guys in a johnboat that were fishing under the bridge and a bunch of guys came running out of these tents that we didn't notice and chased us across the bridge. We hid on the other side of the river until they gave up the chase. There was another bridge from the 1800s before they built this one and you can still see remnants of it sticking out of the water when the river is low. There are 32 photos of this bridge here,on photo #11 you can see the pedestrian walkway, about a year before they tore the bridge down someone removed a few of the iron plates and if you were walking across at night you would probably fall in the river. The end of the bridge in St.Charles is where Lewis and Clark began their journey.

I wanted to post some links to a couple of stories I remember but I can't find anything about them on the internet. The first one took place in Missouri back in the 70s about some kid flying his kite in a park and it got tangled up in a helicopter causing it to crash. The company that owned the helicopter was sueing the kid's old man,I never did hear how that came out. The other story happened about 3 years ago around St.Louis and it involved the police department parking a police car overnight with a dummy dressed as a cop on a road that had problems with speeders. The idea was that they would slow down when they saw the police car. The first night they tried it someone broke into the car and stole the dummy. I will post more info on those cases if I can find it. Anyway, here are some links to people's views and opinions of St.Louis;

THE GREAT ST.LOUIS BANK ROBBERY

This was a Steve McQueen movie made in 1959 about a real life bank robbery in St.Louis. It was filmed on location with the actual police officers portraying themselves. I remember a few years ago they were interviewing one of the locals who played an extra in the movie and he was saying that McQueen slept in his car with his dog, He must have heard about the bug-ridden hotels.

St.Louis,a city in decay.
Where have all the people gone? St.Louis has lost 70% of the population since 1950,more than any other U.S city.I was shocked when I saw that statistic. Here are some examples;

This was a huge shopping mall,the biggest in the world in the 60s but it went belly up.Now they're going to roll the dice and try it again. I remember when they would put this giant Santa Clause on top of the tallest building every Christmas but got tired of taking it down every year so they just layed him down on his back but you could still see his boots and beard sticking up all year long.

Did you happen to watch the Rams disgracing themselves tonight on national tv? Did you notice how dark the city looked beyond the stadium from the aerial view? Believe it or not but it's usually darker than that. Thieves have stolen most of the wires for the lighting and the mayor is too much of a cheap bastard to waste electricity on the lights that still work.

Back in 2011 I went to Home Depot on a clear sunny morning and had only been in there for about an hour and when I came out I noticed people out front looking up at the sky and taking pictures with their cell phone cameras. I heard a woman say, " What are they doing? " I looked up and saw the strangest streaks in the sky I had ever seen. Some were white and others were multi-colored, I saw a plane leaving 2 trails, one orange and the other green. They kept going back and forth, before the day was over the whole sky was covered with that mess, no more sunny day. I have been trying to find those videos that they were taking on Youtube but have not been able to. I will start googling the local news archives, I will post them if I find them. Here are some other chemtrail sites I found.
