Back in May, Fox made one of their few intelligent creative decisions and announced that hit show 24 was coming back for a 12-episode half-series called 24: Live Another Day. Kiefer Sutherland is, of course, returning to play his signature role of Jack Bauer, though much still remains under wraps.
What we do know is that it will likely not be a direct continuation of Season 8 – where Jack found himself on the run from both the U.S. and the Russians – but presumably take place some time later with a whole new storyline unfolding. The real-time gimmick is also being ditched to allow more freedom.
Mary Lynn Rajskub, who played Jack’s confidante Chloe O’Brian on the show, has been announced to be returning, and though by its constricted nature this new series won’t be able to fit many other familiar faces in, here are 10 that absolutely need to return, either because we just miss seeing them on the show, or because they’ve got a dangling plot thread that desperately needs tying up…
