When Frasier is in the video store trying to rent "How Green Was My Valley", on the wall is a list of coming videos. The second video on the list is "Give Tawly". I was wondering if this an in joke or just what the significance might be.

Good catch. It does appear to be some inside joke amongst the show writers...cast perhaps, doesn't it?

Maybe, (this is a far stretch), it was supposed to be funny as in:

Get Shorty (from the first noted movie)

"Get Shorty, Give Tawly"

i.e. "Get Shorty, Give Tally"

Give Tally being the opposite of "Get Shorty"

Of course, that's exactly what it's supposed to be, and it's pretty funny. I never noticed that before, nice catch! I wish we could read the whole sign, because I bet it has more craziness on it, because they spelled "Coming" wrong at the top of the sign, and I feel pretty sure that was not an accident either. :D

Oh, I get you. When I first saw Tally, I thought you were implying adding something up. But used as tall-ie, it does indeed make sense. Good get.

I was going to say something along those lines before I saw Pat had beaten me to it. Exactly why I love hanging out w/ fellow Frasier fans! :D

Wow, I guess I need to start watching more Frasier (if that's even possible!), because I never seem to catch little details like that!
