I know we have touched on the subject on whether or not they could have had a more intimate relationship, but what I wanted to know is, was there an episode where they actually have gotten "close" to where it could have been preceived as more intimate or whatever? IDK, just wondering because they actually mesh together in how they "co-parented" even though Nell wasn't the biological mother. They really seemed to care about each other as if they could have been more to each other. Any thoughts? Right now I have seen more of the later seasons where Chief isn't there much and you could tell Dolph Sweet was really ill. And it has been years since I saw alot of the earlier years.

I am not sure, but I do not remember any episodes in which Nell and the Chief showed any romantic interest in each other. In any event, I am very impressed with how many new posts have gone up since the show got picked up by a syndication network!

I watched another episode on youtube last night. It was the one where Sam steals the squad car. Wow, Sam saying the N word and the Chief lost it! It seems he wasn't paying attention to her while he and Nell argued over her sitting on his hat (hilarious by the way), but then Sam asked her how she would feel if someone called her a you know what (N word). He litterally lost his mind! You could tell he cared alot if he was willing to whoop his own kid's ass. Oh and their argument looked as if they were married! LOL!

In real life...I feel that Nell and Dolph had a good relationship.

So good...that Nell Carter sang to Dolph Sweet as he was on his deathbed.

But on the show...I think Nell wanted to play matchmaker than be with Chief, but then again...

Really? She sang to him on his deathbed? That is so loving of her! Where did you read that? Just curious because it's just such a loving thing for a friend to do for someone who is dying.

I did hear about that somewhere before, she (Nell Carter) was the last person Dolph Sweet saw and Nell also did the eulogy for Dolph.

I wish I could get the post....
