Tubehead 07-22-2013, 08:10 PM does any one hate the audio sinks and toilets? I hate them you put your hands under the sink then water comes out some time you got to put your hand under Neath sink two or three times when I do it it don't work then theirs like four or five none of them work but one does work or two don't have any more soap don't work or theirs no soap at all I also had the audio magnet toilets then if you put y our hands under the water doesn't last long I hate those sinks I rather have ones were you can turn the handled I don't like the audio paper toils their not as bad as the toilets or sinks some times it is
tiredmike59 07-22-2013, 08:28 PM It's been years since I have been in a public restroom,I always had a phobia about them. Audio sinks? They work by voice command now?
Tubehead 07-23-2013, 10:28 AM they have an a laser like you put your hands under Neath the sink it reads your hands its crazy I hate them some time it works don't got probably with paper toils they seem to work their been couple time they get on my nerves I think if their are going to use the audio sink you think they would upgrade it or something some time the sink works then their no soap I hate public rest runs I usual go only if I need to go I usual wait unitl I get home .
DVDLover 07-23-2013, 11:03 AM Yeah, I do not like the automatic sinks either, they are so annoying trying to move my hands so they can read my hands so the water can come out to wash my hands
The automatic paper towels, I do not mind though since they read my hands easier than the sinks

Yep! It's with all this new "technology" it has more problems than it does advantages.
God forbid anyone have to push a button or turn a crank in this new space age world.
It's hilarious, used the space age was all about pushing buttons, but in THIS space age we think we can't even push buttons lol
But where I worked in the restroom they installed one of those motion censored hand towel thing, and it stayed jammed 90 % of the time.
gilligan fanatic 07-23-2013, 04:25 PM I don't like those new super power hand blowers/dryers , they are just really loud and don't seem to do much

They kind of sound like a heavy duty leaf blower but it takes them forever to dry your hands. I'd rather use those throw away paper towels, they dry your hands much quicker.

I don't understand the point of them if they don't dry your hands right away, they look really expensive. The brown paper towels are the best, they do what they are suppose to do.

They CLAIM it saves trees from having to be cut down and it reduces trash and clutter.

You are funny. Seeing old tv shows and movies they would show a wrap around cloth that would come out of wall container and you would wipe your hands. Eventually they went when users were told they weren't hygienic.
As for faucetts in Restrooms, some I can't figure out. Here you are about to wash your hands and you can't figure out how the water comes out. Other faucetts you push on and within seconds the water stops and you need one hand to keep the water coming. Hard to do with two hands full of soap. Some days I say the heck with and walk out. Awful I know. What happened to turn the faucet and leave the water on as much as you need.
catlover79 07-24-2013, 03:17 AM I hate those toilets that flush before you're done. BIG pet peeve.

But it cleans your butt with toilet water!
retrofan05 07-24-2013, 08:57 AM I guess, I'm in the minority here, but with all the germs in public restrooms, the less things I have to touch, the better. Now, if only they'd make an automatic door so I wouldn't have to touch the door handle on the way out.

Really? I find they dry your hands much faster than even paper towels. LOL, the first time I used it it looked like it was going to rip my skin off.

Ewwww...puke:
tiredmike59 07-24-2013, 12:09 PM Are people more filthy than they used to be or have they become paranoid of germs like Howard Hughes? Everywhere I go I see people using hand sanitizer, no wonder nobody has any money, they're afraid to touch it. I guess hazmat suits will be the next style of clothing.
gilligan fanatic 07-24-2013, 02:29 PM Really? I find they dry your hands much faster than even paper towels. LOL, the first time I used it it looked like it was going to rip my skin off.
Maybe something was wrong with the two I have used, they were taking forever. Yeah, they are really intense, thought I lost a freckle.
They CLAIM it saves trees from having to be cut down and it reduces trash and clutter.
Probbably does realistically, still uses energy though.

So far I've never ran across one that powerful, they make a lot of noise but don't really dry your hands. We probably get the factory rejects here in the south.

I would love to see that. If it lessens germs, i'm all for it.

If you're that paranoid over germs in public restrooms then why not carry a small box of sanitizing wipes and wrap one around the handle when you leave. You might also want to do the same when you enter the restroom, you never know where the last person who went in had their fingers last.
Family Ties Forever! 08-04-2013, 10:16 PM I don't like those new super power hand blowers/dryers , they are just really loud and don't seem to do much
I know the ones you are referring to. They are very loud. I don't like them. They hurt my ears. I have very good hearing and my ears are sensitive to loud noises.
Schmoopie 08-09-2013, 04:13 AM I like the auto sinks but we have those automatic toilets at work and the only problem is that the slightest movement makes them flush. And I mean the slightest movement! Ticks me off b/c that wastes a lot of water. We don't have the automatic sinks or paper towel dispensers, though. However, I do love those really powerful hand dryers for some reason. They dry your hands in record time!
Waterston_Fan 08-09-2013, 09:48 AM When I'm not in a hurry, I get a bit of toilet paper and cover the motion thing and it works pretty well. But it depends on what kind of motion thing they have.

I like places that have those small tissue paper things by the door so you can open the door with one of those without having to touch the knob or handle, things like THAT are practical.
Tubehead 08-13-2013, 12:00 AM some time when I go to bathroom I put tolet paper around the tolight when im going
tvfan3 08-13-2013, 01:54 PM I do like the automatic bathroom appliances. They reduce the spread of germs/disease. Some don't work so well, though, but the technology isn't to blame.

I completely agree
Smilings 08-21-2013, 10:05 PM ...you got nothing to open the filthy restroom door with.
Now you got your hands dirty again!
