View Full Version : Another Car To Be Repainted (1976 Limousine)
Fleet 07-20-2013, 05:50 PM Since the repaint of my '95 Lincoln Town Car came out well, I have decided to have my '76 Cadillac Fleetwood Seventy-Five Limousine repainted, too.
It is at the paint shot now and has needed a repaint for quite a few years. It is very faded in some areas and has a lot of spider-webbing.
Below are a few examples. Notice the difference between this car and the '69 Fleetwood Brougham in the last photo.
I will post some "after" photos once the job is completed.

Same color.
When I was considering having it repainted a few years ago, I was seriously considering dark blue. But since I now already have a dark blue car ('95 Lincoln Town Car), the limousine will stay with its original color, black.
Hopefully, it will look like the '76 Cadillac shown in the photo below instead of the way it looks now, as seen in the 2nd photo.

Good because it looks good with the black color

Yes, I'm glad I am going with black. Especially since the roof and interior are black, too.
It is supposed to be completed sometime next week. I will post some "after" photos once it's done and back home. I do miss seeing it in the garage! :(

It does look good when it's clean (and in good condition).
I still miss my limousine! :(
Hope it's finished on schedule.
Fleet 07-25-2013, 12:25 AM Repaint is completed. Looks very good. Much better with the spider-webbing and faded paint gone.
I just got it back about 6 hours ago. Here are a few quick photos I took of it...
ponytail 07-25-2013, 06:00 AM It looks great! Snazzy!
Marvo301 07-25-2013, 01:45 PM The car looks great with the new paint job!
DVDLover 07-25-2013, 01:48 PM Nice!
Fleet 07-25-2013, 03:16 PM Thanks, ponytail, Marv and DVDlover.
It always got a lot of attention; now it will get even more.
Something I like to do is to drive through long driveway/parking area of a local Middle School (known as Jr. High School in 1976). This school is only fenced around the phys ed area. So sometimes I drive the limousine (or my '69 Fleetwood Brougham) from the side street through the school driveway which leads out onto a main street. Just so the young people can see what cars used to look like 35+ years ago!
Fleet 08-03-2013, 06:37 PM A few more photos (because they came out well). Also one interior photo.
It does look very shiny! And gets attention. I had some glossy prints made at Wal-greens and when both the clerk and the customer behind me saw the photos, they both said, "Nice car!"
