Stiffle,Dingbat and , Meathead all became catch pharses but has anyone know noticed that Archie's name for Gloria "little girl" never caught on ?

Sure it did. If you notice, Archie calls Gloria little girl all the way into the final season. I know it's not as funny as stiffle or dingbat, but I don't think it was meant to be funny, it's just what he called her. But if it didn't catch on I don't think he would have called her that all the way into her final season on the show.

Maybe what the original poster was talking about was how it came into mainstream talk. A person could roll their eyes and say, "Oh what a dingbat." Or something like, "He is a meathead, dead from the neck up." I don't know, maybe he means outside of the series how the phrases caught on?

I love the part when Edith explains what Archie really means when he calls her dingbat.
