Another member of the in-demand and now-available "Happy Endings" ensemble has been snapped up by Fox.

Adam Pally is joining the cast of "The Mindy Project" for a multi-episode arc, TVLine has learned exclusively.



According to sources, the actor will play a new doctor at the OB/GYN practice where Mindy Kaling’s titular hot mess works.

Season two premieres Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 9:30/8:30c.

Adam Pally’s "Mindy Project" gig is off to a very happy beginning: The "Happy Endings" vet has been promoted to a series regular, TVLine has confirmed.

As first reported over the summer by TVLine, Pally — who originally signed on for an arc — will play a doctor at the OB/GYN practice where Mindy Kaling’s titular character works.

His first episode is slated to air on Oct. 1.

"Happy Endings" alum Adam Pally joins the "Mindy Project" practice on Oct. 1 as Peter Prentiss, a new ob-gyn whom executive producer Jack Burditt describes as "a frat guy from Dartmouth who brings a whole new energy to the workplace."

Pally will stick around for the rest of Season 2 — he was promoted to series regular earlier this month, weeks before his episodes started airing. Now that's a happy ending!

He's good and talented, but we may need to add two more men doctor characters to make it ten:

An African-American who is like Tamara type.

A cranky old one to keep Beverley from getting isolated and desolated.
