I remember reading somewhere that some of THE BRADY BUNCH cast didn't like being famous for THE BRADY BUNCH and they didn't want to do anything associated with THE BRADY BUNCH. Does any else remember any to do with this comment?

It depended on the cast and what they did, for instance:

Robert Reed: Hated comedy and despised slapstick humor, in total opposite, Sherwood loved comedy and occasional slapstick, and the two often had many conflicts over story lines and scripts. He was very close to the kids, and took them to London one summer

Susan Olson: Loved to sing and do the live act, But hated the fact that Cindy was often made, according to her to be "stupid." Sherwood attributed her being typecast the way she was as being funny and cute. Susan was very sharp at a young age, far beyond the years than what Cindy was portrayed on the show.

Chris Knight: Liked the show how it represented moral values for children and set positive messages. But in real life couldn't sing and hated signing. Chris was literally tone-deaf, so when the kids did a musical number, they would turn his mic down to like 2 and every else's would be at 8! hahaha! He didn't like doing the live act when they went on tour.

I also remember that Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb didn't like being connected to THE BRADY BUNCH.

Eve especially has try to distance herself from her Brady past by not participating in many of the Brady reunions and not talking about the Brady Bunch in media interviews.
