"American Dad!" will move to TBS in late 2014 following its upcoming 10th season on Fox, TBS announced Tuesday.
"American Dad! is a great fit for TBS, a favorite of comedy fans who like smart, irreverent humor with ample doses of biting wit and skewering satire," Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TBS, said in a statement. "We look forward to welcoming Seth MacFarlane and the rest of his team as they bring this iconic show to TBS."
TBS, which currently airs reruns of "American Dad!", has ordered 15 episodes for Season 11. Adult Swim will broadcast encore episodes following each original TBS airing.

gilligan fanatic 07-16-2013, 04:20 PM I like American Dad, little surprised though it keeps coming back, all for reruns I guess
EmoJoe 07-17-2013, 01:05 AM This is really weird. American Dad is a pretty solid performer for FOX. But their animation line-up is a bit overcrowded, and AD does really well in cable re-runs, so I guess it makes sense.

It does and I'll keep an eye for it when it moves.
James28 07-17-2013, 12:57 PM Why couldn't "AD"'s run have ended permanently instead?

shut up, it's a great show
maybe this means Cleveland is being renewed for 2 more seasons? :D

So? Other "great shows" have to end their runs sooner or later.
Cleveland Show's gone. They should explain the loss of that show on Family Guy.
I was worried that Wendy Schaal may be getting too old to play Francine?
Blackout 07-21-2013, 12:07 AM these 2 new fox shows look like they'll last about as long as that stupid napoleon dynomite
Cleveland show deserves a proper final season
James28 07-21-2013, 10:37 AM I'll give AD! two years on TBS.
Also, don't you think the TBS channel hop should have happpened to "The Cleveland Show" instead? (if CS were still producing new episodes)
KurtPikachu2001 08-07-2013, 09:06 AM Now that it's moving to TBS, does this mean FOX has cancelled it?
Hope not! It's an awesome show that deserves to last.

A proper final episode would be better.

No? American Dad does much better in syndication, and TBS doesn't even air The Cleveland Show.

So far The Cleveland Show only airs on Adult Swim.

^^Now, TBS airs reruns of Cleveland Show at 12:30 PM, before an hour of AD reruns at 1:00 PM.
KurtPikachu2001 11-19-2013, 04:30 PM So, no new American Dad in Janurary?
James28 03-31-2014, 05:59 AM What if I told you any real reasons behind American Dad!’s channel hop?: American Dad! Is only jumping to TBS because FOX wanted to make room for new shows on its Sunday night animation block?
king of comedy 03-31-2014, 06:10 AM There is going to be a new call Bordertown coming in the fall.

Yes...and It's syndicated too...
Cartoon Shows can be fickle, so "The Cleveland Show" may return...or not.
Look at "Family Guy" and "Futurama", everyone thought those shows were concluded after the 1st run.
king of comedy 03-31-2014, 06:26 PM Bordertown will be from Seth.
king of comedy 03-31-2014, 06:27 PM The Cleveland Show is gone for good.

Well...it did have a decent run.
Cleveland Brown is already in Quohog because he remained with his barber...I just hope Tim the Bear is on "Family Guy" as well...or Stan Smith destroys Stoolbend by accident (okay, that may be a little TOO low, but what'd you expect from Seth MacFarlane)?
king of comedy 04-03-2014, 07:15 AM Tim the Bear will remain in Stoolbend.

Okay...but I would like to see "The Cleveland Show" cast pop-up from time-to-time on "Family Guy" or "American Dad" despite the show being cancelled.
Steven Speilberg did have the cast of "Tiny Toons" appear on "Animaniacs" after no new cartoons came from "Tiny Toons" which was in 1994, so...
Mace Dolex 04-03-2014, 04:51 PM I've tried getting into American Dad but I just mostly start changing channels I think if I just catch the reruns on syndication I might warm up to it since 9:30pm on Sundays i'm off doing something else.

(I think) that may have been the problem with "The Cleveland Show" as well...either you got into it...or you didn't.
But I must say...4 years has been a decent run.
James28 04-12-2014, 02:10 AM Before American Dad jumps to TBS this July, I thought I'd share some thoughts of mine in this thread.
Rachael MacFarlane has not had one on-camera live-action role in her career, so all her acting roles have been voice only, despite her character Hayley being fairly attractive. All the main cast of The Cleveland Show and Family Guy have done on-camera live-action acting roles.
Also, her character on American Dad!, Hayley Smith, was absent from several episodes of the show. "A Ward Show" is one of them.
Rachael released an album titled "Hayley Sings" in the fall of 2012. Within the album are some smooth jazz and easy listening songs.
Does anyone here think Rachael MacFarlane needs to start doing some on-camera acting work?
king of comedy 04-12-2014, 06:22 AM I think she does.
James28 04-23-2014, 10:52 PM Another thought: The year American Dad! premiered, Wendy Schaal (Francine) was 50 years old (born 1954). Now she is approaching 60 years old. And another thing, Ms. Schaal has not done an outside project since the early-to-mid-2000s decade.
Does anyone here think she's too old to play Francine (or dress up in any of Francine's outfits on the show) at the age she's in now?
king of comedy 04-24-2014, 06:17 AM She is doing a fantastic job and I hope she keeps doing it as long as she wants to.
James28 04-24-2014, 07:49 PM ^^Jane Seymour is three years older than Schaal and she (Seymour) gets to wear bikinis. Look at the front cover of Closer Weekly magazine from January 2014.
James28 07-21-2014, 03:44 PM UPDATE: Three new episodes of American Dad! to air on FOX, two on September 14 and one on September 21; TBS premiere date still not announced.

king of comedy 07-21-2014, 04:30 PM I'll watch those 2 episodes. Seeing Roger having a heart attack would be good payback after what he did to Hayley.
James28 09-10-2014, 10:00 PM American Dad!'s premiere date on TBS is announced: Monday, October 20.
