"Lost" alum Henry Ian Cusick is heading back to Hawaii, with a plum role on "Hawaii Five-0".

The dashing Scotsman will guest-star in the Season 4 premiere as Ernesto, a tough, fearless and ruthless member of a terrorist group called the National Liberation Movement. Provided he makes it out of the mayhem he makes alive, he possibly could reappear like a bad penny.

Asked to comment on Cusick’s character, show boss Peter Lenkov said:

“Well, he’s got the balls to take over the palace, Five-0′s HQ — so what more is there to say?”

"Hawaii Five-0" opens its new season on Sept. 27, now airing Fridays at 9/8c.

Cusick costars in The CW's "The 100", premiering at mid-season.

"Hawaii Five-0" is beefing up Chin Ho's (Daniel Dae Kim) presence in Season 4. One upcoming episode will flash back to his first meeting with his late wife, the circumstances surrounding the loss of his badge and his time under the mentorship of McGarrett's father, John.

But first, the season kicks off with Kim's "Lost" co-star Henry Ian Cusick.

Cusick guest stars in the Sept. 27 premiere as the villainous Ernesto, who holds the team hostage.

"He's tied in to some baddies we introduced last season," says exec producer Peter Lenkov.
