Sun April 21
9pm Laverne & Shirley, 9:30pm Cosby Show, 10pm Cheers, 10:30 All In The Family, 11pm I Love Lucy, 11:30pm Jeffersons --this special is unkown
We know there is a Cheers marathon on April 14th, no reason but it seems like a Love and Work marathon. And April 7th could be a special, or it could be a regular Sunday lineup for April? Stay tuned...

Sunday April 28th:
Bat-Preview

Batman debuts on TV Land April 29th, the next day, but Nick at Nite will show you it first with a special 2 hour marathon featuring the last season, the 1 part episodes! Don't worry you'll get your double dose of "Will Batman and Robin survive?" episodes on TV Land!

9:00PM Batman Episode 95 "Enter Batgirl, Exit Penguin"
Description: Penguin schemes to wed Barbara Gordon, alias Batgirl.
9:30PM Batman Episode 97 "The Wail of the Siren"
Description: Bruce Wayne falls under the Siren's spell.
10:00PM Batman Episode 108 "Catwoman's Dressed to Kill"
Description: Catwoman seeks a golden fleece. With Rudi Gernreich.
10:30PM Batman Episode 101 "Louie, the Lilac"
Description: Louie the Lilac plans to control Gotham's flower children.

***Nick at Nite is featuring specials all month on Sundays it seems.
April 7th is not a special, but it seems like it: 9-10 Brady Bunch, 10-11 Cosby Show, 11-12 Cheers, 12-1 Family Ties, 1-2 Cheers, 2-3 Cosby Show (I think this is just a regular lineup)
April 14th is Cheers from 9p-1a (episodes were posted, seems like a Love and Work special)after the marathon it is 1-2am Cheers, 2-3am Cosby Show
April 21st the shows were posted, but episodes weren't, so here are the episodes:
9pm Laverne & Shirley: TBA
9:30pm Cosby Show: Episode: The Shower
Description: Denise worries about her soon-to-be-married pregnant friend.
10:00pm Cheers: Episode: Yacht of Fools
Description: On Evan's yacht Rebecca eyes Drake, who chases Sam's date.
10:30pm All in the Family: Episode: Gloria Is Nervous
Description: Overdue Gloria lashes out at Mike.
11:00pm I Love Lucy TBA
11:30pm The Jeffersons: TBA
- Those episodes seem like they are about pregnancy?
Then the regular lineup after that is 12-1am Cheers, 1-2am Cosby Show, 2-3 Family Ties.
April 28th is Batman from 9p-11p, after this it is the regular lineup of 11p-12a Cheers, 12a-1a Cosby Show, 1-2 Cheers, 2-3 Family Ties

So it seems on Sunday after the special the lineup gets a little tangled up, but after 3am it is all the same with 3-4am Three's Company, 4-5am All in the Family and 5am Family Ties.

Please stay tuned on this thread everyday, until everything is filled in, including ALL the TBA's I hope to get filled by the end of the week.

Ya know what?
I hope TC is off of NAN by the summer and I hope the TNN sked is the same as it is as off the 25th so I could leave NAN (maybe I'll watch The Cosby Show but just once a night) and every day during summer I can have lunch with my friends in Apartment 201!!!!!!!!!!

Nick at Nite is NOT worth watching anymore. It is as simple as that. I would rather have NO Nick at Nite and more TV Land such as a TV Land 2!

I totally agree, N&N has nothing to offer. If I want to watch Cheers and All in the Family I can easily turn on my local channels. The Cosby Show is on TBS and WGN. However, everything else is on other networks, The Brady Bunch and The Jeffersons on TV Land and Three's Company on TNN. I feel sorry for Family Ties, left to wallow on N&N.

And from what I hear, N&N is just going to keep on getting worse with Roseanne arriving in September 2003.

Well at least TC will be on TNN.....

Still so much Cheers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!and from what I can see alot of the Cosby Show too(although I haven't watched it that much so I don't know if its as bad as Cheers). Oh N@N when are you going to learn!? I guess pretty soon it will be "The Cheers and Cosby Network"...... :(

I think N@N is really worth watching. I really like Cheers and The Cosby Show. It seems to me that everyone is mad because the facts of life aren't on n@n. If it was on n@n and there were lots of marathons you guys would be happy, and I would be complaning.

A fair amount of time here.

with the same episodes repeating 1am-5am the same night.

Now that's ********.

5am will be Brady Bunch all week.

Righteous. Now the 3rd Shift can Ponder the Wonders of the Grid. A textiles worker on his lunch break can see Greg and ask:

What's that thing on his lip in the UFO Episode? And hopefully a fan like myself can say:

No Stella, its not herpes. Barry Williams was in an accident off set. Wisdom for All the Common People is Good for the Marrow that is Bones!

But seriously, I'll bet only the Night Owls watch it.

Friday March 8th is the My Favorite Huxtable kid marathon from 10p-2am. I think it will also repeat from 2am-5:30am.

Theo's my favorite. But being that I can see Cosby on 5 Diff'rent channels, it may be Oversaturated. I'm convinced that Good Times & the Jeffersons better portray the Black Experience w/Good Comedy. But Cosby's OK for Limited Viewing in Black Experience (or BE for the PC) w/Good Comedy. But Not for Repeats of Constant Cathode Ray Tube Exposure.

A good show should get adequete exposure, but All Night of It?

Followed on the 9th by Cheers Instant Gratification 10p-5:30a (full info on this event was posted earlier on this board).

Oh geez. This show's gonna Burn Out in a Year at this rate. A good show should be like a Morsel of Candy; yea an Aphrodisiac even of Nectar's Ambrosia that is shown not too little and not too much: But Just Right Like this:

A: A good rythmic schedule (10-11 EST is good for the demographic they're reaching here).

B: Lose the Late Night Repeats & Probably:

C: Lose the Double Takes as Well. Go back to the older schedules w/Variety of Shows.

D: An appropriate amount of marathons is good (maybe a couple per year). But not like it Feels Like they're doing now where it seems everytime you turn around, you see a Cheers a Thon. It ties up the channel a Bunch. I'll leave it up to each Homo Sapien to decide how many marathons is "appropriate". But IMO Cheers is Gasping at the 10 Mile Mark!

Sun-Thurs effective March 10th:
9:00PM The Cosby Show
9:30PM The Cosby Show

Good for the Kiddies

10:00PM Cheers
10:30PM Cheers

Kiddies are sleepy; Adults can watch here.

11:00PM All in the Family
11:30PM All in the Family

Kiddies are in bed. Maybe adults can stay on here. Good timing so far.

12:00AM The Cosby Show
12:30AM The Cosby Show
1:00AM Cheers
1:30AM Cheers
2:00AM Family Ties
2:30AM Family Ties

Has Family Ties Petered Out?

3-5:30AM is TBA, but my bets are 3AM Three's Company, 4AM The Jeffersons, 5AM All in the Family, hopefully I'm right, if not expect the same for 3-5:30am as it is now.

I think Three's Company is getting a Raw Deal w/Late Night Owl Times And getting Shunted off to the Deadly Black Bar. A Double Whammy. It should get a better time.

Fridays and Saturdays:
10:00PM The Cosby Show
10:30PM The Cosby Show
11:00PM Cheers
11:30PM Cheers
12:00AM The Cosby Show
12:30AM The Cosby Show
1:00AM Cheers
1:30AM Cheers
2:00AM Family Ties
2:30AM Family Ties
3-5:30AM again is TBA, I'm hoping my bets for 3 to 5:30AM are airing here too, if not expect 3-5:30AM to be like it is now.

This is a long way off, but Sundays will be changing starting Sunday April 7th

9:00PM The Brady Bunch
9:30PM The Brady Bunch

Righteous, but Why? A Send Off On Its Way? Or does Brady Grid Wisdom dictate this April Scheduling. Or does the President of Viacom have a Burning Urge to See the Grid in April? Who knows?

10:00PM The Cosby Show
10:30PM The Cosby Show
11:00PM Cheers
11:30PM Cheers
12:00AM Family Ties
12:30AM Family Ties

A little better for Ties, though REM has set in for the Kids. No not the average rock group but Rapid Eye Movement.

1:00AM Cheers
1:30AM Cheers
2:00AM The Cosby Show
2:30AM The Cosby Show
3-5:30AM again is TBA.

Cheers marathon on Sunday April 14th from 9p-1a, no idea on what the 'theme' is, again stay tuned...

Yeah gotta Push that Cheers into Burnout.

Please stay tuned on this thread everyday, until everything is filled in, including ALL the TBA's I hope to get filled by the end of the week.

And I surely will, for Pavanbadal data, much like Brady Bunch is:

Righteous.

Good job.

I thought Three's Company had a few years to go on N@N yet.

Oh but what of TNN? Hopefully that Black Bar will be Gone by the time Three's Company gets on there!

If not, it goes back to my Spectrum Analysis. TNN's hanging by a thread.

Hey, wait a minite, Where's "Diff'rent Strokes" ?? are they suppost to come back???

well, i looking forward to wacth "The Cosby Show", "Family Ties" and "Cheers" on this channel, especialy on saturday nights because i don't work on that day, so that will be really good to watch them both just like i did when i was 4 to 6 years old when they where on NBC on Thursday nights.

but people, even though that Nick-at-Nite is not good like it used to back then, we should be o.k about it you know because i think they just tired airing sitcoms from the 50's, 60's, and 70's, they just want to air new ones that came out in the 80's even though they're still airing 70's ones.

Well I can't vouch for everyone, but that's not why I think it sucks. They only have 6 shows, most of which can be seen in local syndication or on another network, they rerun shows before they show another show, and that stupid block scheduling!!! I'm with LucyFan- ditch Nick at Nite and give us more TV Land!

Ditto! They've had so many changes in the shows that it's sickening! They ditched half of their shows they had in June 2001. They need to get a serious reality check! Airing blocks of shows is just sickening, especially if their two hours of the same show that are only an hour or two apart. It has completly ditched many of it's fans....back in Spring 2001, "Diff'rent Strokes" was #01- that's gone, but going to TNN. #02 was "Three's Company"....that's buried in the morning possibly airing against programs that feature that strange woman from TBN with the pink hair. #03 was "The Brady Bunch"...it's history clouded on Nick-at-Nite but looking up on TV LAND. And #04..."The facts of Life". That show isn't even in standard syndication anymore.

It's sad...I know they're gearing toward 70s/80s...but couldn't they give quality (Not saying 'Cosby Show' or "Cheers" arelacking tho)....programs that aren't in syndication? It would be nice if they aired a different program each half hour, especially if they were shows from Revenge of the 80s.

I've noticed that on News Programs they have mentioned how TV LAND's ratings have gone up a lot since Americans are trying to find more sitcoms since the attacks in September. Meanwhile, N@N's ratings have slightly, ever so slightly, decreased. I can just see it now when N@N is fully taken over by Nickeloden Programs.

OLD SHOWS: Can we please have you back?-Nick-at-Nite

Unfortuantly, they ARE following some trends :( A lot of people have a big bias against B&W programs other then "I Love Lucy"...that's the reason "Rinn Tin Tin", "Bewitched", "I Dream of Jeannie", "Gilligan's Island", & "McHale's Navy" have all been colorized. IT's unfortuante too.

All in all, I just wish they gave some less seen shows a chance...such as "One Day at a Time", "Silver Spoons", etc a chance.

I was having coffee this fall at a coffee shop near Harvard Law School in Cambridge when I recognized the voice of the woman ordering. It was Alyce (Coach's daughter,) Beasley. It was an indian summer day, right before Sept 11th, which is why it slipped my mind, and she was ordering iced coffee. I have no idea why she was here. She looked great!

Is it just me, or are almost all these shows former NBC stars? Family Ties, Cosby Show, Cheers -- they all were on NBC. Does NBC have anything to do with Viacom/N@N/TVLand? I'm wondering if you had to be a hit on the peacock network in order to win a spot on TVLand or N@N.

There needs to be a Classic TV channel that shows the greats from the 50s, 60s, 70s and even 80s (now that it was 20 years ago). Has there ever been any mention of it?

Oh well... that's my two cents....

Sean Snow
02-23-2002, 12:15 PM
Nah, I don't think it has to do with networks. Right now there's pretty much an even two ABC shows (Bunch & TC), two NBC shows (Ties & Cheers), and two CBS sohws (Family & Jeffersons)

I'm thinking there's more of a Paramount thing going. The entire 9-11 PM lineup in March will be shows owned by Paramount, which Viacom owns (Or Paramount owns Viacom, since on the Viacom logo it says that it's owned by Paramount, and on the Paramount one says it's owend by Viacom). Then from 11-12 PM is "All in the Family", which is owned by Colombia Tristar. Then from 12-3 AM, it's three Paramount shows, and then at 3 AM it's "Three's Company", which is owned by Don L. Taffner (DLT) Entertainment. And then for the last three half hours it's episodes of Colombia Tristar shows.

Paramount: 10 Episodes on an Average Weekday
Colombia Tristar: 5 Episodes on an Average weekday
DLT: 2 episodes on an Average Weekday

And it depends on what show "The Brady Bunch" airs in place of. If it's "The Cosby Show" on Sunday, then it's still 10 episodes for Paramount

To be sure N@N can put on more than 5 Shows. And those repeats! Are they trying to wear out the tape?:D:eek::D

Now I will do a short analysis of the Paltry:rolleyes: 5 Shows N@N has coming up.

(and you thought EA Sports' decision to have only 5 Stadiums in their FIFA Soccer game was scandalous)

Cosby: As mentioned this is a decent comedy show that's oversaturated already.

Cheers: A cure for insomnia that's gotten by on name value. Ted Danson, Kirstie Alley, Shelley Long, Woody Harrelson were Superstars in the Biz. Etc. I think its getting way too much Exposure. This is N@N's fault though. Why they air repeats of the Same Program must be $ related somehow. Or maybe I'm getting cynical, but it must be said: Maybe N@N should lose the double takes & go back to the older schedule w/variety. Oh well. At least N@N doesn't do Infomercials.

Family Ties: Has this show petered out? Its really getting Bad Times. This is a Brady Bunch relative for its family value structure.

Three's Company: But now this show Constantly gets Bad Times. On TBS years ago, it used to get Night Owl Times, and now its getting them on Slick Nick. I wonder why? Maybe I'll go ponder this after I'm through typing. Any comments as Pavanbadal said are welcome.

All In The Family: Righteous comedy. Carroll O'Connor was a genius, much like Dustin Hoffman the Rainman. Much like Cosby. Much like Shakesphere at times. Genius.

Now as for Brady Bunch or Brady Grid:

Brady Word study reveals that a brief hiatus is good for the populace, so that they may ponder the Wonders of the Grid:

Brady Genesis: The Beginning 1:16

And on the Seventh Day the Brady Grid rested, for this was good for All Nations, Tongues, and Kindreds, that they may ponder the Wonders of the Grid and yea even Grid Living. This is to last no more than 7 and 7 and 7 (a few weeks) so that Oversaturation of the Mind & Body is Repelled. And so that Sherwood can recover from Robert Reed's battles (referenced in Samuel's Brady Study Verses; similar to Saul & David's battle for authority over the Children of Israel). You will be given Paramount Benefits:D while you're on Hiatus.

Amen.

Oversaturation of the Brady Cast that is!

It was Never intended to mean that BB would go off the air! But let me be fair. A short break is sufficient. For this show has been on N@N a Lot. Until it comes back, I'll just Contemplate the Essence.

Man that Weezy is Loud!

Yes the Jeffersons is off as well for now. When's it going off N@N? Personally it doesn't matter.

But I'll say this one more time.

To be sure N@N can put on More than 5 Shows.

This is what I don't get. They take off The Jeffersons and Different Strokes and put in The Cosby Show that's already in syndication on 2 different networks and countless local affliations??? I don't think TCS is going to do as well on N@N as they think. This is what they NEED to do on N@N. First off....Stop playing 4 freaking episode a night of each friggin show. True, Family Ties, Cheers, and All In the Family may be favorites of some, but not EVERYBODY likes them. And personally, I don't watch any of them because they put me to sleep. Not because the concept of these shows, but because all three of them have the most brownest, most unflavorful sets. It's depressing to watch these shows. If I was head of programming at nick, here's what I would do:

9:00- I love Lucy
9:30- ALF
10:00-Mary Tyler Moore Show
10:30- Maude
11:00- Cheers
11:30- One Day At a Time
12:00- Rhoda
12:30- Beverly Hillbillies
1:00- Facts Of Life
1:30- Jeffersons
2:00- Good Times
2:30- All in The Family
3:00- The Cosby Show
3:30- Family Ties
4:00- Brady Bunch
4:30- Different Strokes

This way, you keep everyone happy. Instead of just die hard fans of All in the family, Cheers, and Family Ties.

I don't usually watch NAN. Ever since The Love Boat came to TV Land, I've been watching that network more. I've been a fan of The Love Boat for many years.
However, I also am a Cosby Show fan (the early ones), so I'll probably try to tape some of the episodes.

What happened for the all the classic shows are gone. Maybe nick is the 80's Network.

TV Land nor N@N has really shown a lot of 80's shows and now that's the direction N@N is going, and I am pretty happy, EXCEPT instead of having 2 hours of Cheers and The Cosby Show, why not have 1 hour of Cheers, 1 hour of TCS, 1 hour of FOL, and 1 hour of Diff'rent Strokes? That way there's more of a variety, and you get some more good shows on there, and it still stays in the 80's, which is what it seems they are looking for.

All these "I hate Nick At Nite! I want my Jack Tripper and Ms. Garrett" posts are really getting annoying and tiresome.

They're trying to move on to a different demographic, and your shows aren't a part of it. Move on. It's not the end of the world.
